★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once upon a time I could visit Arrow Equipment and talk to somebody knowledgeable about something and feel as though I was a valued customer. But since the move to the new location I always feel that I am an inconvenience and that the staff have other things to do. They don't listen, they are not helpful, and they are not service-oriented.
Here is an example. I needed to order a new part. I had to make 3 phone calls to actually get them to enter my order because they always said there were people in the store and that they would call me back (and then they never did). When I went to pick up the part I was asked "Can I help you?", and I responded "My name is X and I am here to pick a a part: Y". Then I heard "What was your name?". I gave it again. And then I got "And what was it you wanted?". If you're going to ask a customer a question, the least you can do is listen to what the customer says.
A couple of lessons: (1) the phone is an alternative sales channel. If you are going to answer it, be prepared for a paying customer on the other end. (2) PAY ATTENTION AND BE HELPFUL.
There are plenty of other places to shop. I'm going to seek them out for my needs from now on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience with knowledgeable, helpful staff. The power washer I rented was very reliable and worked exactly as expected starting on the first pull. I even picked up a few tips that I wasn't expecting as a bonus on my chainsaw care.

The service was good considering it was obviously super busy and the delivery service for the larger stuff was great. We also bought a backpack weed sprayer which was fantastic quality. We'll definitely go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a really high quality business. I'm not knowledgeable about equipment and they made me feel welcome and they took care of my issue. The store is tidy and well stocked. The staff know what they are doing. Great service department.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely dissapointed. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years and for the most part always had excellent service.
Recently, I was overcharged for work which was not done and when I raised this with the person at the front desk (who was very helpfull), he informed me that this particular tech was notirious for overcharging on this part of the service (if notorious, then why is the tech still there or still doing it - it should not be the job of the customer to point this out).
Finally, i dropped a friends chainsaw off that has now been "fixed' twice at Arrow. The chain continues to slip on the first one to two cuts. On dropping it off I explained to the Manager the situiation and he claimed it was due to a part being not tight enough - but if so, why did the tech not notice, expecially when my freind clearly identified the problem the previous times. As I tried to clarify the issue with the Manager, he was extremely inpolite and criticized me for my frustrations with the service. I have never experianced the level of disrespect shown by this Manager. I have never written a public complaint for anything before, but this one is justified. I will be taking my business, while not as large as others to another store. There is no excuse for poor service and treating people with respect.
