About Arashi Do Martial Arts, Acadia
In 1985, Kyoshi Mike Bonde and Kyoshi Gary Vig started Arashi-Do with the goal of creating a family of skilled martial artists. Arashi-Do now offers programs in Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our black belts are known for exceptional physical skill, mental awareness and personal stability.
Arashi-Do Martial Arts has grown to over 20 locations across Alberta. Our schools are run by certified, professional martial arts instructors who receive ongoing training as teachers and martial artists.
At Arashi-Do, we believe the benefits of martial arts training are immeasurable. Arashi-Do is proud of our accomplishments but we are far more proud of the people we have helped to become the great representatives they are today.

JP is an amazing role model and I could go on & on with stories about his kindness, patience, support and genuine interest in helping everyone he teaches. If you are at all interested for you, or your children, I highly recommend you come down to try a free trial class. My boys have learned so many life lessons over the years and truly become a part of the extended Arashi do family!

β β β β β This karate place is amazing! Especially when we learn new things that are really fun. The instructors are great and always have different things students need to work on. Arashi do also hosts tournaments that are always fun to compete in. I would highly recommend this place to learn self defence.

β β β β β Arashi Do hosted a martial arts themed birthday party for our two boys (4 and 6) that included an introductory class, as well as cutting the birthday cake with a samurai sword. JP ran the event and he was great! He put together activities suitable for the age group, and helped to keep the kids calm, safe and having fun. The boys and their guests had a blast!

β β β β β Our son loves this place. The jujitsu class has been the first class we did where he has wanted to come back over and over again. The instructors are good with the kids and ensuring even the βshyβ (not so shy now) guys are comfortable getting involved and learning.

β β β β β My daughter has been attending Muay Thai class here for 4 years. Arashi Do South combines a welcoming environment with truly dedicated instruction. The students learn to respect one another, to value hard work and to focus on their goals. She quickly began gaining confidence and was having a lot of fun doing it - even taking part in several tournaments. Kru Chris is a great role model for the kids in her class and leads by example. I would strongly recommend Arashi Do for anyone looking into martial arts, at any age.
