About App & Associates Llp
APP & Associates LLP was founded in 2005 by Dwayne Pohranychny, CPA, CA, and Keshav Pareek, CPA, CGA, who is now retired. The first location was on 70th Avenue, just off 99th Street in Edmonton, Alberta. The focus of the firm then was on Private Companies, their Shareholder Individuals, Estates and Trusts, and Personal Income Tax Returns. In 2007, APP moved to a larger location on 170 Street and 100 Avenue. From 2007 to 2018 APP & Associates LLP evolved into the firm it is today. In 2018, long-time team member Kristin Bureau, CPA, CA, became a partner with Dwayne Pohranychny. In 2019, APP moved to its newest home on the Southside of Edmonton. This new, larger space will allow for APP to have future growth.
Currently, APP & Associates LLP has seven CPA’s, one CPA Student, three Accounting Technicians and two Administrative Staff.
APP & Associates LLP continues to set focus on Private Companies and their individual Shareholders. We also provide services to Not for Profit Organizations, Estates, Trusts, and Individuals. Our work extends to clients across North America, and we have a Professional working Relationship with Independent CPA Firms in the United States; this allows us to assist Clients who have a U.S. presence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being my first experience with a real professional accounting firm, I was very intimidated and unsure of what I needed or even who/how to ask about what I needed when I opened a couple of investment corporations a few years ago. I googled a bunch of accounting firms and asked around, and I was referred to Dwayne at APP & Associates LLP by a business partner of mine. When I called Dwayne I expected some pompous, abrasive, textbook loving, people hating, partner-of-an-accounting-firm type guy to answer, but he's actually very friendly, professional, UNDERSTANDABLE (explains things in laymen's terms without being condescending), and helpful. He was able to take what little knowledge I had of my two investment corporations, respectfully explain what I had and what I needed, how he could assist me, and was very open in his communication since day one. His entire team is great, and his rates are more than reasonable. I refer, no I INSIST on, him to anybody I know asking about an accountant, and will continue to be a client for as long as I'm in business.
