This was Georgie's Final Resting place before he passed. I miss my bro so much. The Doctor gave us a sweet letter with his paw prints and fur. I'll update later. Edit: It's taking a while to get my boy's ashes, they didn't have to retrieve his ashes but are. I'll update a picture of the urn once we receive it, hopefully we do before his anniversary. Thank you so very much!

We had to visit the Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital twice on Sunday as my cat Sophira was experiencing respiratory issues and required immediate attention. On both occasions, the staff were exceptional...the reception, the vet and vet techs were all friendly and so kind during this stressful day. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to my cat- but I wanted to thank the staff for making us as comfortable as we could be and for assisting us through these very difficult times. You were compassionate, caring and gave us the time we needed to say our goodbyes. We appreciate you so much.

we’ve been here twice for urgent surgery. both times the staff was kind, patient with our questions, and thorough with the care of our precious dog. they were transparent with pricing and made sure to send us home with clear aftercare instructions. they really helped make the best of a difficult situation and we’d recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone! thanks again for all your help and kindness throughout the process.

My daughter's dog ate something she shouldn't of. We called other vets in the area and because it was after hours they told us to bring her to emerge. Been to Alta Vista and waited hours before and we weren't doing that again. So we brought her here and the were amazing. No waiting they took her right away and kept her there to watch her for 2 hrs. When we went to pick her up we thought the bill would be big because it was after hours. They charged us nothing, amazing. This shows u there are people out there that care about our loved ones. Thank you and may God bless you.

Please do not ever bring your beloved pets here. Our dog was scheduled for surgery, and even before surgery I was hesitant to go through with it due to the terrible communication from this place. I wish I went with my instincts because post surgery our dog was released with a horrible infection that they assured us was normal and should clear up in a few days. Days later when our dog was still bleeding we took him to a local emergency vet who told us that the infection had caused a life threatening issue. The vet tried to get in touch with the original surgeon but he had left on vacation and was unreachable. Turns out he decided to perform a surgery and then bail a few days later not considering what might happen if any complications arise. Our local emergency vet was legitimately shocked and disgusted at the lack of care and shirking of responsibility on the surgeons part. Fortunately after our emergency vet called around all over Ontario to find help we found a surgeon in Toronto who was able to correct the complications. I should add that this surgeon made themselves available even over Christmas in case of any complications and to answer any questions or concerns. This has been nothing short of a traumatic experience and has also been financially devastating due to the fact that we have now had to pay for two surgeries instead of just the one. We have been waiting for a call from this clinic from either the surgeon or the manager and still have not received a call weeks later. They definitely took the money and ran with this one, while almost killing our sweet dog in the process. I would leave negative stars if I could, avoid this place at all costs, it’s worth it to take your pet all the way to Toronto for surgery.

The reality of Omicron that you don’t see is us getting turned away yesterday from multiple emergency vets because they were already understaffed. Waiting on hold for 40 mins with a bleeding dog just to hear that they won’t take you because they have no staff left is scary. Call another vet they said. Some were rude about it. Others very caring but it was just out of their hands to help. This vet didn’t turn us away and we’re amazingly kind. They had incredible protocols set up for the safety of their staff and clients. We were scared and they were reassuring and helpful through the whole process. They gave us lots of information and allowed us to call for anymore that we needed. They kept us constantly updated and treated us with respect. Even though they were obviously swamped, they never made us feel like it. They were fabulous and we thank them wholeheartedly.

Please don't let the mixed reviews for emergency care dissuade you from seeking specialty services at this hospital. I take my much-loved cat to the dermatologist here regularly, and the whole team is truly excellent. My cat is a complex case, with multiple allergies and skin problems, but the highly knowledgeable dermatologist (Dr. Laprais) has greatly improved his quality of life with her care. Before seeing the specialist here, my pet had a miserable life, between constant itching and high doses of steroids. Now, he's mostly itch-free and purrs constantly. If your pet isn't responding well to typical therapies for allergies/skin problems, this is absolutely the place to go. Also, the RVT is always kind and helpful, and they go above and beyond during examinations and with follow-up care.

I am beyond grateful and happy with the service I received today at this Animal Hospital for my rabbit! Every single person I spoke to was kind and personable, they took the time to really listen to my concerns and offer alternatives and I was never made to feel like I was wasting their time with my questions. They didn’t push me to do any extra tests… in fact, they explained to me why an x-ray wasn’t even necessary which is the opposite of my experience at a previous animal emergency clinic. As a bonus, I even got a little personal touch added to my rabbit’s pharmacy bag. ;) 10/10, highly recommend!
