About Animal Emergency Hospital

Phone Our Clinic

Our staff can give you directions to our clinic over the phone so that you are able to find the quickest route possible.

Order of Exams

We place people in order of arrival i.e. first through the door is first seen with the exception of emergency patients. Sometimes a patient may be seen ahead of you because their life depends on it – they may not always be obvious; some cats are still able to walk around even though they are unable to urinate and are called blocked – the longer they wait, the more their bladder fills and toxins build in in their system as well as electrolyte imbalances that affect their heart. Another type of emergency is a bloated dog with a twisted stomach – it may just look like a bloated abdomen, but these dogs must be treated immediately because circulation is compromised and tissue death and shock are occurring at a rapid rate. We appreciate your compassion with these patients and their need to be pushed to the front of the line, to ensure the best outcome possible.

Immediate Assessment

Our registered veterinary technicians may assess your pet before the veterinarian comes in and checks vital signs (heart rate, breathing rate, temperature, etc.)

Extremely disappointed!! We almost euthanized our dog as we were told she would die without surgery. She's an old dog so surgery isn't an option. She was really sick so staying in hospital on IV. When we went back to euthanize her she came walking in with an attitude, mad she was left there. Hours before she was so sick she couldn't stand. We decided to wait a few hours and see if she would maybe get better and thankfully she did. I'm so disgusted!! We were told her intestines were twisted and she would die without surgery and probably with surgery. Upon seeing the exrays the intestines weren't twisted and she only had an upset stomach. I'm so thankful I questioned them and didn't blindly trust what they told me. This cost $1600 but thankfully my old girl is still with us. I will say the girls at the front were amazing and very compassionate. Please anyone that reads this .. don't trust everything you're told. Ask questions and look at exrays, your pets life depends on it
