Angel Hair

Once again, Angel Hair has far exceeded all expectations for another hair appointment! And this one was even more special, as it was my first cut in over a year that thanks to life circumstances and COVID-19 closures. Yet the staff at Angel Hair continue to rise to the occasion in creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment that complies with all Toronto Public Health safety protocols but never leaves you feeling that you're anything but a guest and valued customer in their salon. Two people in particular deserve particular praise for the efforts to create such an environment -- Shelly (Angel Hair's owner) and Jasmine (an amazingly talented stylist part of the team.) Jasmine is that rare combination of down-to-earth and insanely good at what she does, and Honestly she has every right to have an enormous ego about her work. However, the complete opposite is the case. Jasmine has an intuitive sense for what works and doesn't with people's hair, but is very much a collaborative stylist -- wanting to work with you to achieve your vision rather than just telling you what should look good on you (regardless of how awkward you may feel about kt.) I guarantee that you will leave am appointment with Jasmine feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and looking like you're a million bucks! Shelly is the mastermind behind Angel Hair -- and that really is an understatement. You won't find a more dynamic entrepreneur that Shelly who's sense of her industry is as strong as her instinct to ensure that she runs an ethical business that does good in the world. Long before the "girl boss" industry showed up, there's been Shelly grinding and ensuring that everything/everyone she touches gets better. In addition to being a pretty great stylist in her own right, Shelly actively mentors the young stylists that come to work at Angel Hair -- ensuring they all have the latest professional development training and now COVID-19 safety training. When COVID-19 first emerged, Shelly was among the first to invest in COVID-19 PPE for Angel Hair and always ensured a safe environment for both Angel Hair's clients and staff. You will not meet a more committed entrepreneur or an wonderful person. While appointments may be hard to get in the short term as the COVID-19 backlog works it's way out, I highly encourage you to continue trying to get an appointment at Angel Hair. It's well worth the wait!

I came here because my favourite hair professional moved to this salon. Liza is amazing, I especially recommend seeing her if you have waves/curls. She is magical. She's also the queen of shags and anything full of layers. The salon itself of in a super convenient location. It's clean, bright, and welcoming.

I had an amazing experience here getting balayage in my hair for the first time! Diana was so sweet and so knowledgeable about all aspects of hair colouring and styling, she made me feel welcome and safe. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking to colour their hair as I had a wonderful time <3 Also, the studio is very welcoming and clean and follows all COVID-19 protocols so you feel safe during your appointment!

Shelley and her team are THE BEST! They will never try to sell a product you don’t need. They have a great range of stylists. They are knowledgeable about trends, friendly, eco friendly and the Best in the Bloorcourt neighbourhood. Can’t recommend them enough.

I've been a customer of Angel Hair Salon for over two years. I'm never going anywhere else! Diana is an excellent, professional, and super-nice hair stylist. She gave me a balayage a couple of times and various haircuts, including layers and a side undercut. She listens to what I ask and does an amazing job, I'm always super pleased with the result and get tons of compliments on my hair! She's really lovely and goes the extra mile, providing recommendations on how to keep your hair nice and healthy. The salon is clean, spacious, and has a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Angel Hair salon since the summer of 2021. Liza is fantastic and really lovely to work with. She cuts curly hair perfectly. I will 100% be going to her for all my haircuts and bang trims. Thanks Liza!!!

Zahrah is my new go to for blonde - full highlights and it looks amazing. She did better than what I wanted. Highly recommend. Zero hair damage too… trim kept the length too. Salon atmosphere is also easy going, and not intimidating at all. Great selection of products and I love that the girls don’t push you on anything, they really listen to you. Will be going back for my touch ups without a doubt.

I went there for the first time yesterday and my experience has been beyond amazing. Liza gave me a beautiful haircut and she was very professional and kind throughout the whole process. I was a little nervous because I was getting bangs but she could adapt them very well to my face and she chose the right shape and length for me! I think it's the first time I come out of an hair salon completely satisfied. They just gained a new regular costumer for sure ?
