My mother moved in to Amica Thornhill in March, 2013 and absolutely loves the facility and the staff. It was the best decision our family made in that it gives us peace of mind knowing our mother will be among peers and will always have necessary care.

She always has many options at mealtimes, has opportunity to attend a wide variety of social events, and has access to a lovely outdoor space. The staff is also fantastic and takes such care to ensure that any package i drop off is successfully delivered to my grandma. Even through the pandemic, Amica has been so accommodating, communicative, and a wonderful place for my grandmother to live. They put a lot of care and attention to detail into their home and it really shows.

The staff has been very helpful in the transition from her living in her own condo to living independently in her Amica apartment. The staff is always available to discuss even the smallest detail that comes up in the care that is required. The food is very good and the building is beautiful, even during lockdown! We are very grateful to the staff at Amica for all their attention and care.

We feel like someone is there to help us navigate their changing, evolving health and new environment and needs on a daily basis. It feels like a place that is warm, loving, supportive, caring and proactive as opposed to reactive. Thank you for making this new transition for our parents as easy as possible.

The decor throughout is very pleasing and activities (before Covid) had lots of variety and were highly enjoyable. Even this past year with all the quarantining they did a great job keeping everyone safe and we appreciated how hard the staff worked in the last few months to reintegrate the residents back into general routines. I highly recommend Amica Thornhill if you are looking for a high quality retirement and assisted living facility.

I cannot say enough about how they have gone above and beyond handling a stressful situation sharing their time generously. The property itself is also very warm and welcoming with so many great amenities. I highly recommend Amica Thornhill.

They were testing visitors VERY early on, in an attempt to keep everyone safe. While the dining room is closed for safety, they continue to provide delicious meals to their residents in their apartments. I'm very impressed with care my Mom is getting.

The Community Relations Managers were very thorough in explaining what Amica has to offer, the different levels of care and the related fees. They were always readily available and answered all our questions promptly. They went beyond the call of duty to enable my father's admission with on-site family support. We always felt heard regarding our concerns and wishes for our family member. We appreciated that we worked as a team to create my father’s personalized care plan which addressed his complex needs. We have continued input with staff regarding day-to-day matters that can improve his quality of life even further. My father is treated with respect, patience and genuine caring. All staff listen and do their utmost to make requests happen. We are most pleased with the quality of care our family member is receiving. To live out one’s senior years in such a welcoming and beautiful environment is a blessing. Thank you Amica Thornhill!
