R	Ryan Young on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great company to deal with. Steve was very helpful explaining things while I booked our appointment. Martin was our inspector and was great. He showed up on time and took his time to explain things clearly. I highly recommend using AmeriSpec for home inspections.
M	Mariam Rauf on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not recommend this company. Go somewhere else. I removed the explanation as to why I rated this company a 1 due to respect for peoples privacy. However, I stand by my rating that this company under performed and did not meet satisfactory client and quality of services. The inspection and the report was extremely generic and not detailed or thorough and when I mentioned that the report contained no detail I was met with a rude and abrupt reply from the company rep who refused to accept any type of critical feedback. Basically you can do a better job inspecting your own property. They showed up as a formality and charge you for a complete inspection but they have no intention to do an honest and through job.

They left my application behind for a month and I had to call and ask for update !!!!But the inspector him was on time and professional but as a company I won’t recommend it .
M	Michael Poliwoda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Useless and incompetent. "Sight inspection" is another way of saying pay me to do nothing. I recently purchased a property. Visually, the roof seemed fine but if the inspector had actually gone up to check, he would have noticed that it was soft and in need of major repair. As a result, the inspection report stated, "roof shows normal wear and tear." After paying for a completely useless inspection, $600+, I ended up paying $4,500 for roof repair. If I had know this, I could have bargained with the previous owner. I've purchased many houses over the years. AmeriSpec Ottawa/Gatineau, is the worst inspection company I've ever used.

The program told me to wait to hear back from my service organization. After 4 months, I finally called them, and they said, "Sorry, we can't call everyone who applies for the program. We don't have the staff." If you don't have the staff to meet the needs, get out of the program, or hire more staff.
K	Kristyn Hakim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot express how grateful we are that we chose Joe at AmeriSpec for our home inspection. Our home inspection went very well, and we were aware of a hairline crack in the foundation that we needed to repair (although not urgent). We followed Joe's advice and contacted a foundation expert to come to do preventative maintenance and fix the crack. The foundation specialist came and told us that our foundation was in terrible shape, and that it would cost us $30,000. I called Joe crying and he came back a few HOURS later to see what the "expert" was talking about. Joe told me that the guy was clearly taking us for a ride as he confirmed again that he saw no issue with our foundation. Sure enough, we hired another foundation expert and he said it would only cost $975 to fix. Joe was right!!! Not only did Joe come to our rescue that day, but a month later we noticed some cracks in our house at some "load points." Even though Joe did his work for us months before, he still took the time to talk to me and look at pictures I sent him with the cracks in question. He reassured us all was well. If you are looking for a home inspector, look no further and call Joe at Amerispec! HE IS THE VERY BEST! Thanks again, Joe! :)
