The inspector user an infrared camera to see if there were cool spots in the external walls. Clients benefited from a few perks, such as a 90 days mould warranty, contractor pricing at the Brick. Strongly recommend them.

E	E Oscapella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an environmental inspection of my property on January 11 as a precursor to applying for environmental rebates under the federal program. The technician did a very thorough inspection, I thought. I was told that I should receive a report within a month. Three months later, I still did not have the report. I called Amerispec Gatineau several times. The first time -- two months after the inspection -- I was told that the reports sometimes take a while, but should come shortly. The second time I called, I was told a different story -- that the report was in fact sent on February 6. I had no record of receiving the report (it was possible that it went to spam but other messages from the company did not, so I don't think that likely) so asked for it to be resent -- this time, to two different email addresses. I still did not receive the report, despite reminding the company a total of three times. Update: After a final call today, I did receive the report. As said above, the inspection was professionally done, but I was a bit annoyed at not receiving the report promptly.

Our home inspection went very well, and we were aware of a hairline crack in the foundation that we needed to repair (although not urgent). We followed Joe's advice and contacted a foundation expert to come to do preventative maintenance and fix the crack. The foundation specialist came and told us that our foundation was in terrible shape, and that it would cost us $30,000. I called Joe crying and he came back a few HOURS later to see what the "expert" was talking about. Joe told me that the guy was clearly taking us for a ride as he confirmed again that he saw no issue with our foundation. Sure enough, we hired another foundation expert and he said it would only cost $975 to fix. Joe was right!!! Not only did Joe come to our rescue that day, but a month later we noticed some cracks in our house at some "load points." Even though Joe did his work for us months before, he still took the time to talk to me and look at pictures I sent him with the cracks in question. He reassured us all was well. If you are looking for a home inspector, look no further and call Joe at Amerispec! HE IS THE VERY BEST! Thanks again, Joe! :)
