I commissioned Mardy to find and buy a rare car about five months ago and then placed a lot of trust in him from a long way away. Mardy delivered on his end of the deal with exactly what I wanted and on a timeline that matched the one he described. He is best communicated with via the phone and was always responsive to my calls. He has a challenging job that requires patience from the customer. If you are patient you get what you want. I would recommend AAI to my friends.

I just bought a 1991 Toyota TownAce RHD from Mardy. Cannot be more happy with the whole process, start to finish. Mardy is the man. I am an American, who purchased the car without test driving, or seeing it in person. I was skeptical at first, but Mardy was honest about every detail. He even picked me and my friend up from the airport in my new van!!! He brought me to the CA DMV and was ready with all paperwork for import. At the border, no issues. I imported my new van for $206 with absolutely no issues. I just registered it in OR with ease. He even followed up with me to see if everything worked out. Mardy is an honest person, who is not out to make a buck. He wants people to have good cars for a good value. My van is literally immaculate as if it was new! The first drive was from Vancouver CA to Portland OR, no issues whatsoever. Wish I could give him six stars..

Pandemic was getting old, so I thought I'd shake things up by fulfilling a dream: owning a Japanese import van. After settling on the newest Delica I could legally import, I started looking around, but was dismayed to find very few options in the Seattle area, with most being quite pricey. But on recommendation of another Delica owner, I contact Mardy at Amazing Auto Imports in Richmond, BC. I was a little skeptical of forking over a good chunk of money to a man I'd never met for a vehicle I'd never seen. But Mardy is a man of integrity and wants to do right by his customers. Because I couldn't physically see and drive the vehicle before purchase, Mardy provided the video walkthrough, a full rundown of all the service he would do (everything, including timing belt, alternator, spark plugs, fluids, water pump, tires, battery, much more), and what the process of getting it over the border was like. He was always a text or call away if I wanted an update. We probably talked on the phone for 2-3 hours over the course of the process. After two weeks of servicing, he let me know it was ready for transport. Put me in contact with the customs broker that took care of all the paperwork ($250 fee plus 2.5% the cost of the vehicle and a small filing fee for DOC). Then the night before I was to pick it up, got a pic of it at the drop-off point in Blaine, WA. The next day I drove up to get it, and was happy as a boy could be. The most difficult part was registering, but after 30 minutes and the whole staff of the DOL, I got plates and registration. Mardy takes a little longer because he doesn't begin servicing the car until someone purchases, but his work is worth it. He also seems to be cheaper than the local options in Seattle. Highly recommended.

Mardy is a one man band so communication might be poor at times but if you are patient and reach out to him you he will eventually deliver. I bid for 1996 Toyota hiace. It wasn’t smooth sailing for the bidding process as the pandemic prices soared but after 6month we picked up our car. We had 2 cars to choose from and in the end all was good. It might take a while but Mardy is honest and will find your dream car. Be patient. I’m a happy customer.

Marty at Amazing Auto Imports Ltd has been an incredible help to us! We broke down out east and needed some Delica parts flown across the country to get us moving again. They were able to source the parts and have them shipped out at the soonest date. They were very knowledgeable about the parts and things we needed to watch out for during installation and doing work in the future. Delicas are a rare vehicle and it was a blessing to work with someone who was so familiar with the vehicles! I recently purchased a 2002 Delica Chamonix Spacegear L400 from Amazing Auto Imports. Mardy, is very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me lots of great tips on how to care for my Delica. I experienced a minor issue 10 days after my purchase and Mardy greatly reassured me by honouring the included warranty and had it fixed to my full satisfaction. It can be challenging to know how much you can trust someone who sells used cars and I am so glad that I found Mardy who I can count on for service and support with my Delica. Mardy helped me import a can from japan and it went very smoothly. The van is in great shape, the whole process was easy and the paper work they included made registering the vehicle in Washington very easy. Its a lengthy process but i'm very happy with the result!

Mardy did a great job finding a Delica for me and performing all the necessary maintenance. Communication can be slow at times since he is working on the vehicles and answering the phone himself, so patience is required for calling/texting/emailing. I received the Delica just after Thanksgiving and was pleasantly surprised when it passed state inspection on the first go. if I decide to import another vehicle, I will definitely go back to Mardy again. I highly recommend.
