★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In search of a new family doctor after moving to Pickering, I was directed to this medical center. Doctor seems to be not interested in her patients. Going in for one issue, she insists on us making multiple appointments, only to re-ask us the same thing each time, wasting our time. It feels like she's only interested in having health cards swiped for payments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It doesn't seems a walk in clinic and the behaviour receptionist is not friendly and hesitate to provide information.
It's doctors office and they mentioned as walk-in to just get more business.
Feeling so bad because of wrong information provided on their webpage

I came here for the first time to get screened for a UTI with 99% confidence because I have had them in the past. My test came back negative and we opted to do all STI testing where UTI screening is also included. I left and went to the lab but knew that I have had these symptoms before and the doctor had explained how UTIs could take a couple days to show positive screenings, so I still held my belief. The next day my symptoms got worse and I went back in to update her on how they were progressing and uncomfortable. The doctor asked me why I was back and she told me the first test was negative so I was wrong and shed give me another test to prove it if I'd like. This may not sound bad but the condescending attitude in which she spoke made me refuse and walk out. I trust doctors, but I felt like she wasn't hearing me and instead tried making me feel stupid. A week later my results came in and they wanted me to book a phone appointment to discuss. When she called she asked me what the appointment was about? turns out... it was a UTI.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have dr. Khanna for almost 10 years as my family doctor. It is not her fault that every where you go you ABSOLUTELY MUST provide your proof of vaccination status! That is our life now... As a doctor -she is knowledgeable honest and kind .always stays on top of medical and science news .I trust her ! Thank you doctor !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After moving to Pickering and needing a new Family Dr as mine fell ill I found the Altona medical clinic at the top of my neighbourhood. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Khanna. She has been very helpful and always listening to my questions and concerns, I don’t feel rushed. If some tests came back negative and I was still having a concern she was quick to initiate further investigation for me as I had expressed my concern was still there. Joan at the front desk is also vey pleasant and does her best to accommodate me with my appointments with my work schedule, always offering alternatives.
I also started using the pharmacy that is attached to the clinic. My husband and I also have great experiences with the owner there. He is very informative and also offers delivery if you live in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience! I had been looking for a female Dr for a while and was thrilled when Altona Medical opened. I’m very impressed with the cleanliness of the office and availability of appointments as well as low wait times in clinic. Joan is always able to find an appointment that works for my schedule and Dr Khanna listens to my concerns and explains everything clearly. I have never felt rushed during an appointment and feel ‘heard’ as a patient.
I have and will continue to recommend Altona Medical to friends and family!
