Dr. Green Services Inc. - Edmonton

[UPDATE: 2020-Jul-22] The regional production manager “Ryan” came by today to discuss the issues below, and reconcile them. He has noted the issue with the mess left behind and assured me that it would not happen again. In addition, he also resprayed the weeds as a courtesy service. As such, I am bumping this review up to a 4, updating the pros and cons, removing my bad recommendation, and will provide another update after the next visit. Thanks Ryan! [SUMMARY: ORIGINAL] I wasn’t going to post this, as I thought I would give them a “third” chance; but I’ve had it. This is only my first year using them, and I signed up for the Ultimate plan which was about $347 before tax. Read on... This company is not professional. They have been in and out in less than 10 min on every visit thus far, and the results are barely noticeable. I’m slowly realizing that this is your typical high volume low quality company. I have asked this company “three” times now to please clean up the fertilizer from the driveway, and sidewalk. My neighbour has pets and a two year old that were getting into the fertilizer, so he knocked on my door about an hour ago showing me the mess these guys made (see the image attached). It took me less than 15 min to clean up the mess that they should have cleaned up. I know these guys start at 5 am, and probably work until 5 pm with minimal breaks; but that’s still no excuse for being unprofessional. This was our first year using Dr Green Services and were happy with the service we received. Once we got some moisture we had a beautiful green lawn! Dr Green was very responsive when messaged and it was nice not to have to dig weeds all summer.

I called a few places before settling on Dr. Green. Other companies spam called me relentlessly trying to get my business. Dr. Green staff were helpful and polite. They always sent notices before they came and showed up when they said they would. For the price too it’s nice knowing someone else is coming to help combat my weed problem. I’ve recommend them to a few people now because I’m very happy with their service

These guys were great! They left a sign on the lawn when ever they came to provide service and I especially liked when they took a photo and emailed it to me. Even with the dry weather and poor growing conditions, I was very happy with the way the lawn ended up. Originally there were so many weeds I did not have much hope and thought it might be a waste of time, but you should see it now. I am impressed!

Was directed to Dr. Green by my neighbor, I think she got a referral payment. My lawn needed some weed control and fertilizer so I hired Dr Green, my lawn looks great now. On one occasion they sprayed the weed control before a rain storm but I called and questioned the timing so they promptly sent out the field agent to apply a second application. I am really pleased with the customer service. update - was told last year that the service renews automatically , when my neighbor beside me had her lawn done and mine wasnt I called to inquire why . They attempted to find my account by my phone number which they didnt have , but found it by my address . I was told that I had been called in March to confirm I wanted the service (after being told it renewed automatically and them not being able to find me by searching my phone number ! ) to which i asked why wouldnt they call back if they didnt reach me ? I was then told that they had thousands of customers to which I asked so im not an important enough customer and the girl responded you are not and hung up ! Use someone local or do it yourself , there is noting proprietary or special about this business and they dont value their customers .

Great customer service and I am happy with my lawn! This is my second year with them as I was so happy with the job they did last year with my grass and weeds.

The sales rep promised many things that were not delivered. The two things we needed most was dethatching and aeration after winter. But what they did was simply weed control and fertilizer. They promised to reseed the lawn for any dead patches, that was never done . But what made it worse they hap hazardously spilt fertilizer all over my neighbors driveway. My neighbour is highly allergic and has serious health concerns and they were extremely angry at us. It made for a very hostile situation that was completely avoidable by Dr Green. I had to go over there and pressure wash their driveway. To try to appease they for a mess I didn’t create. Did they they try to compensate us in any way. Give us a discount for next year for example. Or heck offer to aerate our lawn ( something we actually needed ). They say they guarantee their work , perfect I said , give us a full $375 refund and we’ll call it even. No they said, if your not happy we will redo your lawn. after the incident with our neighbours I just wanted to get my money back. What a joke. At the least that way I could get work done that was needed. Their customer service is a complete joke. Do you self a favour, read the fine print carefully. Don’t trust their slick sales people. Or better still go somewhere else.

It was my first time using Dr. Green. I just moved into my home in April of this year. They managed to keep my lawn nice and green! They have always been on time and send notifications prior to visit. This is always nice so I can let my children know someone will be in the yard.
