β β β β β We are staying at the Rocky Mountain Resort where the Alpha Bistro is located. The breakfasts have been great but after 35 years of business travel I always hesitate to eat dinner at the hotel where I stay. Too many bad experiences. However, after two days of hiking much farther than we are used too, and having a very pleasant drink on the bistro patio we decided to look at the menu instead of heading for town and trying another unknown. What a pleasant surprise. My wife had a half Alpha salad and the veggie flatbread and I had a half caesar and the linguine primavera with added chicken. Everything was better than good and in fact was excellent including the service. A real hidden gem. Since it has no other reviews I'm wondering if it is new. Whatever the case it is highly recommended.

β β β β β Took one hour to serve my earth bowl, and when we complained, did not offer any apologies. The server said we were wrong for not ordering in advance.

β β β β β They closed two hours early without any notice, no note at the front desk, etc. We are guests with a hungry toddler - whom we promised noodles after our swim - who is now eating stale Triscuits crying that she is hungry while we wait for pizza delivery. Great work guys!! Had we known you were cheap af with your staff wages we would have ordered 45 minutes ago.

β β β β β Great butter chicken, most of their food is really good. Called one night at 9:30pm to see if they were open and they said they were open until 10pm however when we got there at 9:45pm they were already closed and all gone

β β β β β Poor server, she had more than 7 tables. Food was not awesome but the hotel is quite far from downtown banff so I went with my dog. She was very friendly server, but I sat outside and server never come back if I do not stand up and go inside to ask for check and order. I think I stayed there 2 hours... Terrible experience.

β β β β β We stay at the Banff Rocky Mountain resort each time we visit Banff. The Alpha Bistro is one of the main reasons. The food is unbelievable! The chef is extremely talented and each dish we have tried was delicious. Even after booking reservations at some of the fancier places in Banff the Alpha Bistro easily is still our favorite. If you are looking for late night snack food I recommend the Nachos!
