Alicia's Hair Salon

I am writing this review due to extremely dissatisfied experience i had with their services. I got my nails done for a family function. I had scheduled an appointment a week in advance to ensure that there is no rush. However, David did a very bad job and seemed like he was in rush due to a large wedding party that was getting ready at the salon. I phoned Alicia and told her about the poor job and she promised to redo the nails week later and told me that they will call me back. No one called me and infact i had to call them and remind that they need to redo my nails. The lady over the phone was rude and infact was telling me that i am rude. Nonetheless even the redo was poor. I am so unhappy and will never recommend nor go back. The only 1 star they deserve is atleast they redid my nails albeit very poorly. You dont keep going on the nail over and over again, that gives it a smudged look. If that’s how I want I can do that at home. The red polish is the first appointment and the pink is the redo. REVIEW UPDATE: Hey alicia, 1 week after the “redo” thats what it looks like. Please stop wasting everyone’s hard earned money. David should not be called a nail technician. He does a terrible job. I will make sure that everyone I know in Peterborough will not be given good reviews about you. If you really wanted to fix the issue you should have contacted me after i posted all those pics, but you do not treat your clients well. Update- Hiding my facebook review would not hide your flaws. Apparently they blocked people from writing reviews on facebook after they feared getting less ratings. Someone commented on my review post with a bad review for them and that is when I realized that they have blocked my review. Just posting a screenshot of my review

I went to this place for a hair cut and they said that I have dandruff and they cannot provide service but charged me 33 dollars. Why should they continue to level my hair if they cannot provide service to a hair that have dandruff and charge for it. Very disappointing. Please avoid this. They maximum try to cheat you without providing service.

I had my legs waxed at this salon and I am disappointed with my overall experience. The woman who waxed my legs was inefficient and took almost a whole two hours to wax my legs. She cleaned up some spots that were missed but I’ve noticed even more areas since I left the salon. The bed I was on was very dirty. I could see eyebrow hairs from another client that were left around the face hole and there was some black gunk at the foot of the bed that wasn’t cleaned off before my appointment. I was hoping for a relaxing experience and I just couldn’t fully relax because of how dirty the bed was.

Working in at Alicias was the best job I ever had. It’s a Beautiful clean spacious salon with an amazing owner and staff full of kind and extremely talented stylists that pay attention to detail and client needs. Would recommend getting a service here to anyone

I took my son for his first haircut here and had a great experience. The hairdresser, Lisa, was very patient, kind and sweet with my son. He got to sit in the little car during his haircut which I think made him feel more comfortable during the entire experience. Would recommend

Being a Senior on a fixed income I have been looking for an affordable local hairstylist. My neighbor recommended Alicia’s. I was very pleased with Alicia, her staff & her Salon. They were most accommodating & I was pleased with the hairstyle that Alicia gave me. I most certainly recommend this salon on George Street in Peterborough

Love this spot for kids' cuts! I have taken both my daughters here several times, including both their first cuts, because they love the special racing car seat for their cut. Each stylist that has cut their hair has been great with them, both in competence of cut and demeanor with littles. My girls are 1.5 and 3 for reference but they started going just after 1 year old.

Great place for haircuts. Clean and modern.. The girls do an awesome job. Prices are also fair. Walk-ins are welcome, but it's also not to hard to get an appointment. If you're not sure who to go with. I recommended Lisa M. She has been my hairdresser for years, and always does an exceptional job.
