Sandrine and Simon, a humble young couple from France, are creating award-winning spirits from Okanagan apples in Summerland. Engineering the distillery equipment himself, Simon even hired local tradesmen. With everything built to his specs, the dream came to life. Top-quality ingredients are sourced or foraged locally, distilled, and purified through a column of copper. The tasting was engaging as their passion and pride shone through. We sampled neat unless the Masters of Mixology recommended enhancing with water, soda, or tonic. Each sip went down smooth, pure, with layers of flavor. Alchemist is open daily in the summer and by appointment in the fall. In the winter, they hibernate with their young daughter Zoe. We conclude they are on-point to become one of the Best of the Best in the Okanagan. Visit Alchemist, or source their products until you can visit in person.

My personal favorites was the Gin and the Absynthe though all products were of superior quality and taste.

We enjoyed a lovely tasting and learned all about the delicious apple based spirits created by the team at Alchemist Distiller. A must for any gin lovers out there - and don’t miss the Apple Nectar for a sweet treat!

Okay normally I never like gin but the Lady Fix gin was amazing. The spirits were delicious. So going to be on the map every summer as part of our wine tour. Thank you Sandrine and Simon!

They produce apple flavored spirits - vodka, gin, liquor and absinthe. The vodka is very smooth - one of the best I’ve ever tasted. We left with 3 bottles! And they gave us a tour of the distillery.

The Owners Simon and his wife were great to chat with while we samples and their product is some of the best we've tried. Went in with the intention to buy a bottle but was so impressed we came away with three. Give this place your time, do a tasting and you'll discover what we did. Really good spirits!

Did I mention everything was very tasty, smooth and full of flavour. Worth the visit to try the amazing apple liquor.
