H	Helvira Melo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only go to this emergency when I absolutely have no other option. The waiting time is at least 3h, usually more. My last experience was waiting almost 6h for an antibiotic for my toddler with ear infection. Went to the family doctor in the morning, the ear infection was diagnosed but my kid couldn’t take the oral medication without throwing up. After waiting long hours with a sick toddler, I had to prove to the VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL doctor that my kid was incapable of taking oral medication. I have the doctor’s name and will make sure he will never see my kid again!

I can say I'm so lucky and happy to be in Calgary. Please calgarians let's all keep on donating the little we have to support Alberta children hospital. Our small donations never go waste.
n	niharika tambe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son had high fever and he is only 22 months old. The 811 helpline numbers recommended me to go to this emergency centre. When we went there there was a minimum of three hours waiting from the check-in. After waiting for 5 hours, one of the nurses who I tried to ask how long it would take for our number said that it depends on the level of emergency and that it is not first come first serve basis. She said my son is level 4 emergency so there is no point in waiting and told us to go home. The service is SUPER slow. The waiting line before triage is so annoying because they make you move chairs every time a person gets called in so they can keep you in sequence. Our sick kids are already uncomfortable and on top of that you have to keep moving every 2-3 mins with them making them more irritated. I would have appreciated if they let me know this was not first come first serve as soon as we entered instead of telling us 5 hours later when we asked them about it. It was very disappointing as they do not simply care about how many people are waiting.
B	Becky Krywyn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I have visited the Alberta Childrens Hospital a few times now with our 11 month old daughter and have had nothing but exceptional care! At 2 months old our little one required a harness to help with her hip dysplasia. Dr. Philips was so kind and did a wonderful job of educating us. And the nurses that were always one phone call away to help guide us when we had worries or questions from home during the long process were just so amazing and sweet! Most recently, our daughter experienced a very high fever last week so we brought her to emergency. We had already given her tylenol at home so once checked in we sat in the waiting room. It was supposed to be a long 3 hour wait but to our shock our daughters temperature got so high while waiting that she began to seize. We ran her to the nearest nurse and from that moment into the rest of our night the nurses and doctors were SO calming and reassuring. Letting us know it was extremely common, that she will be okay, that we were doing a wonderful job handling this, and educating us/ensuring every question we had was answered before leaving that night. They took such amazing care of all 3 of us and I'm grateful! It's a bit of a far drive for us but I would never hesitate to bring my daughter there again if need be! Thank you!
N	Natalie Wood-Cordelle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here recently with our 6 month old daughter and we’re pleasantly surprised by the care and compassion from the nurses and doctors compared to our previous visit to an urgent care centre. The wait wasn’t too terribly long; two hours approximately and that was after the nurse said there were 20 kids ahead of us. We live in the Deep South so driving here was a bit of a journey but we will come again if we need to.

They had a great system following Covid rules and helped check us in. Dr Beaudry was again professional and thorough. My daughter does not have a life threatening illness but I needed somebody to take my concerns seriously and he did. He took the time to explain results, symptoms and treatment options. I felt like my daughter was in great hands with him and would 100% recommend. I am most grateful for his caring and friendly attitude, it instantly helped me relax. Shannon helped explain at home care and the kit I was given. She was a great teacher and so kind! Thank you for your help!
R	Robin Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son with autism is waiting in the ER room for 10 hours in a $10 chair?The crazy amount of money on art. Seriously it’s kids. They should have set little nooks and tvs and stuff. Nope. There is fish tank and a vending machine with candy, but no TV or bean bags chairs, calming sensory items etc. Kids coughing all over each other because they are running around with nothing to do.
