★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this establishment Saturday Sept 25 for my brother in laws birthday get together. There were 9 of us all together the night was going good there was a miscommunication with the bill. A close friend wanted to pay for my sister and brother-in-laws bill but they accidentally paid for the wrong bills. And we understood we were being a bit confusing so we tried to accommodate the best we could she ended up going to one of the other managers who was sitting at the owners table (who had been there having drinks before we even got there). We made a bad decision to stack some glasses and he came over and slammed his hands on the table being very aggressive and toxic claiming we were being very rude and abusing his staff. We tried explaining that wasn’t the case but he would not listen let alone let anyone get a word in. Keep in mind he is only going off the fact that one of the waitresses came to him flustered over the bill and a couple glasses breaking. But he continues to yell and curse at us and eventually a few of us couldn’t take it anymore and 3-4 walk out either in tears or very distraught. After awhile things calm down inside as 3 stayed inside to talk the situation over he genuinely apologizes to them and they told him he should also be apologizing to us outside as well but we didn’t get a sincere apology he gave us excuses after excuses. After everything my mom made a post on the Facebook site and got these messages in response. Lying about everything guess he even stooped as low as altering his cameras or just going to the wrong day seeing as he even got the day wrong. Never going back…

Popcorn shrimps and calamari was fine too.

Beer, cider, wines and some cocktails.
Fair size place, lots of tables, some booths,
2 patios and bar seating.
Food looked good going by.
Had a nice Oatmeal Stout.
Lots of parking around.
And you'll never who or what you'll met.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We discovered this awesome pub quite by accident, but now we will go there each time we go to Port Albernie. The selections are numerous and will definitely appeal to even the most discerning taste. The pub has a stunning decor and very comfortable. I highly recommend this pub.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there 3 times, and I can’t get past all the processed foods they used on their menu, asked if their food (bean burger) was made in house, no, its brought in, just like the halibut burger as well. The Halibut burger on the menu says spinach and feta but my friends and I couldn’t find the spinach and feta, unless it was the black flakes crusted on the fish was it? The cost of their food was a little high. On the positive note, beer IPA was okay and wine portion was good. Service was good.
Ive been spoiled by other places with in house cooking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A delightful brewery/restaurant. An excellent selection of craft beer for most tastes. I especially enjoyed the German Dunkel, a difficult brew to find in Canada.
The menu has a good selection of enticing consumables. The burger is tasty and their rich bowl concoction is excellent.
Inside and outside seating is available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alberni Brewing has an amazing selection of beers and cocktails. They have many different appies to choose from and the mains are on point!! The staff are friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is inviting!
