★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have now trained with Sensei Porter for over a year and a half now. I came to her with a brain injury. I had just spent nearly 2 years learning to walk again. I was a wreck, my life in ruins.
My life is very different now. I am starting week 4 of an 8 week camping trip. I am able to do this from what i have re learned in training .
My body can move again, but most importantly to me, i am no longer angry when i fall, i fail at what i am trying, when people get angry with me. I am far better niw in dealing with my son.
Basically i have been given a new life through my training in this center.
Nobody makes fun if me just respects for my trying so hard

Dawn is not only a top karateka / martial artist, she is a great karate teacher, who understands the needs of each student and helps them be better everyday.

For anybody that wishes to learn the martial arts this is a fantastic place to learn. I highly recommend it.

She's now a very different girl: strong, thoughtful, respectful, and full of confidence. Sensei Dawn is a gifted teacher who effortlessly nurtures and guides her students of all ages. She teaches that martial arts training is a way of living, and that it touches all aspects of our life, focusing on courtesy, respect, and responsibility. I encourage anyone looking for martial arts training, or even just a place where their child can learn about how to live a full and fruitful life, to give Akai Take Budo a try!

I would totally recommend this Dojo for all ages. They are very caring, kind and patient. Thank you both of you for everything you do.
