Great people, very welcoming to newcomers. But, unless you are absolute ready to commit DO NOT sign any contract with them. It is cheaper but they will enforce it no matter what. My daughter and I tried the three month trial and loved it. We signed the one-year contract and within 2 months I couldn't walk. The Academy were supportive and let me suspend my account for 2 months. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and told I could not walk barefoot ever. In fact, I may never be able to walk without shoes. I explained this to the Academy, and they DID NOT CARE. They informed me that I had signed a binding contract and I owed them. All of which is absolutely true. They weren't going to let me wear shoes in the classes nor were they interested in finding a reasonable compromise regarding the contract. They made me pay several thousand dollars for a service I was unable to use. Their number one priority was getting their money. Be warned.

I have been coming to the Port Credit Academy of Martial Arts for over 20 years. I started as a teenager where I learned self defense skills and fitness while developing confidence, courage, self discipline, dedication, integrity, and many other life skills from positive role models. Many students moving away have attempted to find another dojo like this one without success. It has a fantastic supportive atmosphere, of helping each person achieve their goals in realistic steps regardless of age or natural ability. I highly recommend trying out a class in Tai Chi, Karate, or Kardio Kicks - it is never too late to get started!

My daughter is been in this academy for over two years and I love it. The instructors, my daughter's classmates, everything is wonderful. I can't wait for enrolling my 5 years old son

I started out trying to get fit enough to fit into this dress I loved for a family members wedding, so a friend and I noticed Kardio Kicks (cardio workout with a mix of kickboxing and boxing workouts) and decided to join. 3 months later and we somehow ended up joining Karate-- the story continues every day! Would definitely recommend for ages 4 and up!

I have absolutely loved my experience at PCAMA. Karate is a great full body (and mind!) work out, and every class is different which keeps you coming back for more! The environment is welcoming and supportive, and the instructors are fantastic. I like that I can improve and push myself to be my personal best every class, and see around me other belt levels, ages, etc. all working towards their best as well.

I've trained at this dojo for over 12 years and the quality of instruction and content has progressively improved year over year. They fully embody the continuous improvement mindset here and strive to excel in all martial art disciplines. I couldn't recommend this dojo any more highly. If you're looking to join one of the best school in Canada, this is undoubtedly the place.

I started training here in the late 1990s and returned after a few years away due to other commitments. I had tried several other clubs along the way and none ever felt quite right. Returning re-energized my life. Everyone here walks the walk, and plows through challenges (like the Covid pandemic) with hard work and perseverance. There is a commitment to student success, both inside and outside the Dojo. There is honesty in all dealings and genuine friendships that develop over the years. There is loyalty and a sense of duty, both rare in the modern Martial Arts world.
