★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No bathrooms off season. Trail needs a bit of love in places and parking area is better if you have a tractor, at least at times. Watch for wild dips that will require a mechanic visit.
The walk itself is quiet, often smells like the country (manure) and other nicer smells. Keep you eyes on the south side of the trail in between the two storage sheds you will see a gnome garden. There is the odd bench. As you get a bit into the trail you will see the end of the airport runway so expect landings or takeoffs.
The views of the cliffs to the north are stunning, and the skies and mountains put on good shows. Lots of bald eagles overhead toward the river, many other birds and wildlife. If wind is blowing strong from east it can be quite cold so plan for an extra layer.
