Had them come 3 times at a fairly high cost for their time and the repair. We finally had the heating issue fixed but still had issues with our thermopompe. Decided to go with a company that had 5 star rating this time, what a difference!! They didn't charge for their time onsite, only for the repair, were quick and efficient and found that there was faulty wiring to the heating and thermopompe system. Costs were 1/5 versus what we've ended up paying with Air Spécialiste. Lesson learned. I think the technician that came the first 2 times really didn't know his stuff well. One good aspect is the owner Normand cared enough to call and to try to make reparations, is very courteous. Unfortunately, their pricing system and technicians, the repeated visits without a complete resolution leave you very dissatisfied.

Initially I was not very pleased with the service of the technician, but I have to admit the owner of the company Mr Normand was very good at following up and resolving my problem. He handled the situation personally, made sure my problem was resolved and followed up to ensure I was satisfied. He really went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied, my understanding is the technician no longer works for them. In all it is a good company, sometimes problems happen but it is more pleasing to know that the owner tried hard to turn things around. I commend his ethics and hard work, I will work with him again.

charged $260 for a quote to see if it's possible to install an air exchanger in the unit. promised to send over a quote for bathroom fan installation and after 2 follow-ups (email and phone) over 8 days, we have yet to receive the quote. Would give zero stars, but the receptionist was lovely and tried her best to help each time.

Horrible service. I didn't mean the ridiculously high rates, but the quality of the work was atrocious. The technician spent hours and as soon as he left the AC stopped working. Took the company three weeks to send me someone again to re-fix it, and of course charged me again. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE their services!

Update: Feb. 19, 2021. Norman stopped by and explained why I couldn't feel the different speeds of my furnace blower, and showed me how the furnace control is designed; now I understand and happy with their service. Update: Feb. 10, 2021. One of the company owners, Normand, called and followed up on the issue of my furnace blower speed, and said will find a day to come back and check again; well, not 100% satisficed but must add a star to the action. Had my motor replaced and ever since my furnace blower from multi-speed down to single speed, and they refused to come back to check if the wiring had been connected correctly.

I called in Air Specialiste to service my heat pump/AC system. I had received service from them in October past but that left my system without heating from late November. I called them in again because I felt the technician had been helpful and competent. I took him to be "trustworthy". I realize, only now, that I had been "upsold" on time and components in October. Yesterday, I called them in to service my Goodman heat pump. The system was found to show no pressure and had no refrigerant left. The technician found a small leak in a capillary tube and apparently sealed it. I was satisfied that that leak was sealed. The system was recharged with 6lb of Freon R22 ($420) and a charge of sealant added ($200). As well the valves were replaced for introduction of the Freon ($20). With time and charge for the service call, the total bill came to $1229.08. The system was apparently working and cooling when the technician left at 4:50PM. By 7:00 PM, I rechecked to see if it was still cooling -- it was not. I put it in heating mode and waited until 8:00 PM to see if was heating -- it was not. This morning, at about 8:00 AM, I called their emergency service centre to arrange for a return of the technician to look into the problem and to make sure that it was still charged with Freon. I argued with the service centre to not charge me another $150 call charge and to resend the technician to evaluate the problem and to tell me whether or not the system was reparable. I also asked that he offer an estimate on a new system. I was preparing to bite the bullet for a new system. I called again at about 10:30 to check on whether or not the technician was returning today. They wanted to enter this as a new service call with an new charge of $150. Their service model, I suggest, is an insult to customers... at least to this customer. I suggest that 1 star is an overly generous evaluation of this company's service. I would like to give it 0 stars. Update (June 6) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have been contacted by the owner/manager of Air Specialiste, Mr. Normand. He assured me that he would send (without the $150 service call charge) the technician who worked on my system to check it out to see if the continuing problem is possibly fixable. His call and offer satisfied me. While I don't have a well functioning system, I withdraw the complaint as I have explained it above. My systerm is now very old (32 years) and it is due to be replaced. I would, given Mr. Normand's assurances, consider having Air Specialiste install a new system I shall wait until the autumn for replacement. I would also like to note that Sonia, who works for Air Specialiste's call centre is well informed, competent and respectful of this client's problems.

Extremely dishonest technician and owner or the company who wanted to charge me twice for coming twice for a estimation 250$ just to tell me my central air conditioning needs a cleaning before even starting the work. He literally took 10 mins to open my air duct and told me you need a cleaning and we will be back. First time 250$, second time another 250. So 500$ before starting ANYTHING. Then, he wants to charge 140$ to start the cleaning. Unbelievable. I agree to pay 250$ once not twice. His name is Normand. Stay away.

These guys came in and told us our motor was finished, despite the fact that we were getting some heat, then they TOOK our motor and cylinder OUT of the furnace, advising we needed a new motor for $1500 leaving us with NO heat mid November. When we realized we were still under warranty and wanted the motor back we got the runaround until we threatened to call the police. When we first called them, they showed up within two hours which is a good sign they aren’t that busy even in high season, and advised they could get us a new motor THE NEXT DAY. When we asked about warranty they hemmed and hawed and, one has to wonder, why would they take the motor: to refurbish and sell to someone else for $1500 perhaps. Very suspicious. Stay away from these guys.
