AGM did a great job finishing our basement. They were on the higher end in terms of cost, but you get what you pay for, and the quality of AGM’s work shows. There were some hiccups throughout the project, but our Project Manager Carmen was able to work with us to navigate through any issues. Overall, Carmen was great to deal with and on top of things. We were those clients that paid attention to every detail and Carmen was always available to assist and resolve any roadblocks. Also, shoutout to Eric from sales who worked with us initially and took the time to explain everything. The trades team did great work, especially the tiler Carl who finished our accent wall and bathroom tiles to perfection. Would recommend using AGM for your basement renovation!

My family and I recently completed our basement with AGM. Ricardo was the Project Manager. We are definitely satisfied with the choice we made. Our basement was complete within the time specified. The crew were all friendly and polite. They also cleaned up the work area on a daily basis. We found that the organization was spot on. All the trades came in on time one after the other. This meant minimal delays between trades which kept the project moving along. The quality of workmanship and materials are fantastic. The trades know what they are doing and the materials are of quality. Of course there are touch ups to be done prior to the final completion but the finishing team is spectacular. We are definitely pleased with the results and are happy that we went with AGM. Their approach with management helps reduce the stress of a large scale home renovation. We would definitely recommend.

My husband and I recently purchased a house and were researching contracting companies who could finish the basement as an in-law suite for my parents. We needed the job done professionally and done well! Once we had our initial online meeting with Kevin, the sales consultant, we knew we needed to hire this company. Kevin's genuine customer service skills were greatly appreciated! He was responsive, kind and professional. He understood what we needed done and made us feel comfortable and assured us we were in good hands. We knew we didn't need to keep looking, AGM was the company we needed and they didn't disappoint. Stefano, the Project Manager for the basement renovations, was responsive, understanding and went above and beyond from state to finish. He was extremely helpful and approachable. He ensured that communication and honesty was his priority. When we experienced some hiccups, he never hesitated to keep us informed and our needs were met. Even down to the final walk-through, Stefano was helping my mom take care of some details which were missed and stayed to get it fixed himself! Seeing my parents faces when their place was done and cleaned (by the bedtime cleaning company - the ladies were super sweet and professional), made this project absolutely worth it! People we would like to give our personal thanks to are: Don Omar, Mr. Khang, the gentleman who did their shower (wish we got his name), the cleaning company, the plumbers, really, overall everyone Stefano hired for the job were absolutely fantastic and easy to deal with! I am beyond grateful to God for putting this company in our path, my parents are elated with their place and my husband and I are thrilled to see them so happy and come home after a long day at work and say "home sweet home." Sales meetings were pretty okay. The sales person did respond to questions in the initial setting The square feet calculations were not based on actual squares feet but just on the entire house’s square feet which does not make sense. Unless you know exactly the square feet of the finished basement project, you are guaranteed to pay more for the basement square feet. There was no pressure from the sales person but a very frequent follow-up When sales person said he will email the contract we thought it will be couple of pages long. In fact the actual contract was 30 pages long and was not reader friendly. We felt we are signing the mortgage documents. The designer spent around 3 hours to come up and draw the design and share options…additions and deletions. We thought the designer should spend more time and explain the pros and cons of the design. The samples were too small to imagine. When you are talking about a flooring tile, they should have a real tile and not a 2x2 inch piece. We should receive the design early so that we can think it over The approval of the design took place in a very hurried manner and we felt rushed to approve the design and sign it, although you are given 24 hours of notice for any changes. But we certainly felt very rushed. We were stressed about the level of the concrete flooring. There was a mention in the contract regarding the level of flooring that there is “no warranty” if you do not follow their suggestions. There is also a huge pressure regarding the water seepage and cracks on the walls. I had to pay for those very minor cracks which have never leaked for last 12 years. If you say I don’t want to fill them then the technician immediately relates it to warranty which will be null and void if I don’t fill them. Some costs and their margins are exorbitant. For ex. Self-leveling cement 1 bag their charge was $150 + tax where 1 bag at Home Depot was $29 + tax. And they won’t use our additional bags. The project manager, Ricardo, was phenomenal. He paid attention very minutely to all the details and made it sure we were satisfied and happy about the work. He did not cut corners and ensured the project went smoothly as per our expectation. At the end, I will highly recommend AGM for basement reno as they follow the schedule and the material is top quality and labour is highly skilled. They follow the deadline at every step of the progress. In Durham region if you get Ricardo as your project manager you can be rest assured for the best possible finished basement.

We are really happy with our new basement!! AGM’s trades people we very friendly, professional and respectful of our space. Although there were a few hick-ups and stresses (as all construction jobs have), in the 5 weeks it took to complete, the team was able to overcome them and give us everything we wanted. We can’t wait to use our new space!

After hearing lot of horrible instances of independent contractors, I was recommended AGM by one of my friends. Exactly, a month after contacting AGM for the first time, my basement was completed with good quality. Matthew Donnelly (Matt) was highly professional who made sure that I have plan for the coming week well in advance, I didn't have to worry about a single tradesman. Within a week, framing, electrical, plumbing, dry walls were completed and in next 2 weeks, the whole work was completed. I didn't had even a single complaint and I am really glad that we had Matt with us to take this project to completion on time. I would really recommend AGM to everyone. Nit on expensive side, but worth every penny.

We decided to renovate our kitchen because during the pandemic we realized that our kitchen was far too small for three adults. We contacted AGM because we did not want to go through any hassle with pricey dishonest contractors. We got different quotes from multiple contractors but what we liked the most with AGM was that we could choose what we wanted and they offered a 5-year warranty. These elements were important to us because this was our first renovation and the kitchen is a very important space in the house. AGM made the process hassle-free. They brought samples to our house for us to choose from, the contractors (Moe) talked us through every step of the reno and made great recommendations based on the space. We are absolutely in love with our new kitchen. The storage and space gives even more reason to love our space and cook great meals for our family. Note that AGM does not remove walls and re-configure the space which is why the timelines is shorter than most kitchen renovations. They use the space and footprint you currently have and update the space to look far better than it did before.

It's been a couple of months now, but we are enjoying our new master ensuite after our renovations by AGM. The room in our new shower & bathroom overall is so nice & it's much brighter too! I loved having our own designer to help put everything together & I am so glad we got to see the samples in person because the catalog photos did not do the actual products any favors. Our contractor was very helpful through the whole process & made sure to communicate to the project manager if any issues came up. They both talked us through & we were able to find solutions.
