★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guys at Affordable Auto are amazing! On a road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, I was having overheating issues with my truck. These guys took the time to find the problem and fix it. Had us up and running in a day. I could not recommend these guys any higher for any repairs you need!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was travelling to Vernon on a stat holiday and on my way our Mini Cooper Countryman started hesitating as I drove up the Monashee Pass. When I reached the summit the car engine half light came on putting it into limp mode. I was able to make it to Vernon and the friend I went to see recommended Affordable Auto. I took a leap of faith and left the car at their location and put the keys in the mail slot as they were closed that day. The next morning they were on it right away, diagnosed the problem and had me on my way home before the end of the day. Great honest service....I highly recommend Affordable Auto. Thank you! Bill

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently took motorhome on sprinter chassis into Affordable because not one,but three dash messages were coming up. Prompt, friendly,really knowledgeable and all the diagnostic tools and know how present for European cars. Found out ,from their experience, that it was a service still available under a “quiet warranty” so referred me to get it done at mercedez expense. Gotta love these good old human values and “ desire to help“ attitudes……Thanks Chris and Rachelle(sp?)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are from out of town/ not a local and a person of color. Please avoid this place. I was quoted 180$ for an AC recharge was handed a bill of 350$. Due to the shop adding random fees ( computer diagnostic ) All shops do this for free. They did not call or confirm what the problem was with our vechile. We also walked into the shop randomly to pick up our vechile because they wouldn't update us. They also didn't fix the problem, basically paid them 350$ to tell me what needs to be replaced.
The invoice just had the amount on it and a shop fee of 190$ per hour which is absolutely absurd, Spots Racing Garages who are experts charge about 160$ an hour and give a detailed quote on the charges before doing anything.
I believe this shop didn't even look at my vechile or even do any work on it. I suggest going to a large corporate store such as Canadian Tire. Avoid being scammed by this shop and others like this. They have the perception that people who walk into the store are not knowledge about automobiles ( I own several cars from Corvettes to Mercedes Benz AMGs and track modified sports cars )
We arrived in Vernon to visit some long time friend's who are born and raised they were also shocked to hear our story. We shopped local and tipped generously at all the local establishments to help boost the local economy due to the pandemic. We also arrived here on real estate buissness as well purchasing several acres and commercial properties. After my experience with locals and Vernon we may reconsider our buissness ventures else where.
