Abraham Metaphysical Books And Psychic Readings

Where do I start? I was going to write a 5 star review last week, when I visited Abraham's Metaphysical Books, but I'm glad I did not, because what has followed was even a more extraordinary experience, which is worthy noting. If I could, I would of given it 10 stars. First off, the store looks beautiful, reassuring, and magical. Upon entering it, for anyone who is into Hoodoo, Santaria or Vodun (Voodoo), you already know you are in the right place! With the many symbols, figurines, sculptures, YOU KNOW you have entered the priest's/priestess', God's/Godess temple. Also, Abraham's Books is a one stop shop. If you are serious about serious magik, you have everything you need right there: Crystals, Herbs, Roots, books, guidance, advice, tarot, oracles, tools, spiritual jewellery, incense, personal readings, and so much more. Abraham was welcoming and radiant. he was oozing with enticing energy and was VERY helpful with my many questions and inquiries. I picked up a few things, and I wanted a rare root Abraham Books did not have at that very moment. I have written my phone number and request down in his book, at the front, and waited for the right timing (for him and his lovely wife to get back to me when the root would be available and for the right timing in terms of the right timing by the spirits.) Abraham was the only one at the store when I visited, so I did not have the opportunity to meet his wife in person. However, one week later, when the timing was right, I received a phone call from Abraham's lovely wife, Rhea . It was the perfect timing. Not only did Rhea give me the good news that my root was ready to be picked up, but, she was kind enough to put it on hold for me until the next day, AND she was caring to have remembered that I wanted some books on Marie Laveau's -which by the way are extremely hard to get in general, let alone in Canada! She was EXTREMELY kind to suggest that she would do her best and try to get these materials in for me, if possible. If that is not an immaculate business etiquette, than I do not know what is. But, our phone call did not end there. I was interested in yet another rare herb and guess what? Lovely Rhea had the answer. Even though all of this was great news, I have to admit that the best, by far, experience of this phone call was Rhea's passion and enthusiasm for serious magik. Her knowledge was astounding and authentic. Her and Abraham are the real deal. The best part was that she was eager, kind, and generous to share it. Any question I had she answered thoroughly and enthusiastically. I never felt rushed by her, and she never made me feel like a client. This will probably sound strange to many, but I felt like it was a connection or reunion of souls. It was powerful. I have never met Rhea in person, yet it was a memorable and unforgettable good 15 minutes phone call I will never forget and which has brought me a lot of confidence that I am on the right path. It has truly made my day. I am forever grateful to Rhea for having given me the opportunity to talk to her wise soul. In summary, I have a HUGE respect for both Abraham and his wife Rhea and I am forever thankful to them for having Abraham's Books in this corner of the world and for sharing this part of the heritage with the rest of us. Conclusion: If you are into serious magik, like Santaria, Vudon, and Hoodoo, not commercialized magik, this store is for you. Secondly, when you enter this store, have some respect and be thoughtful. Third of all, ask the right questions. If you ask wrong questions, or if it is the wrong timing for you, you may get answers you may not like. You may however understand them later. Be humble and be patient. Magik is among other things about patience and time. Finally, I find the prices here to be very reasonable. Truly, This is a gem in the middle of Vancouver, and one of a kind.

Great staff and atmosphere. Wide selection of metaphysical and New Age books, crystals, and things that can be used in a magickal context.

Such a wonderful atmosphere! My partner and I used to go to banyen books frequently but repeatedly felt some negative energy sticking with us after our visits. Abraham's store feels so much more welcoming and we felt recharged once we left. The owners are very helpful and make an effort to support local artists. We will definitely be returning!

Weird place, fun to browse, especially if you're looking for Wiccan ingredients for spells and potions. Otherwise a bit of a snake oil salesman.

the best metaphysical shop i’ve ever been to, hands down. the owners are sweethearts, the products are authentic, the atmosphere of their shop is beautiful. i cannot reccomend and give enough love to them!! (picture is just two herbs i purchased from them recently.)
