Abalon Foundation Repairs

I had a few cracks in my foundation and I Highly recommend using this company! Everyone I spoke with was so friendly and pleasant to deal with. The two technicians that did the work (Justin and James I believe were their names) were hard workers and kept everything clean and tidy! I was very impressed with how fast they had everything dug out and repaired. I will definitely use this company again if needed!

I had a crack in my basement floor and contacts Abalone for a quote. After sending pictures, Brad called to let me know he was concerned with how big they were! He came the same day to survey my house and confirmed there were no structural issues. I then booked Abalone in to fill the crack. Steve came by today. He was professional, courteous, quick and did a good job! The last time we had Abalon do some work for us, they didn’t cover our belongings and everything got really dusty so I made sure to ask about it this time. I was assured there wouldn’t be a lot of dust, but unfortunately, all of our stuff is covered in dust again.

I contacted Abalon to repair a crack in our basement wall. They came out and had a look at the issue. Within a day, I had a quote. Once I accepted the quote, they quickly got us booked in for the repair. We did not have to wait too long for Abalon to do the work. Shawn and his assistant showed up one morning and they had the basement wall dug out to the weeping tile and the repair made by mid afternoon. They dug out a 9 feet length of the wall and approx. 6 feet deep. They came back the next day and replaced the weeping tile and finished the repair and then backfilled. The leftover clay was picked up and hauled away. Shawn and his assistant did an excellent job of cleaning up. I was very happy that they were able to do the repair and not disturb our interlocking sidewalk that was beside the excavation. I own an apartment building in Edmonton. Before I bought the building I had Abalon come over to survey the foundation, to ensure that it was sound. 10 years later, I had Abalon repair a drainage issue. Just recently we have had a settling issue and have had Abalon come in to review, and to monitor the foundation. In ALL instances, they have responded quickly, and done whatever work that has been required professionally and completely. What a relief being able to call a company that responds so fast, and being confident that they are going to take care of business. With our last problem, we are just going to monitor the issue and if it gets worse, fix it. My first call will be to Abalon……..

Brent showed up to assess our damage and was helpful. When we said their way wouldn’t fit our budget he worked with us to get it to within budget (new family and had just purchased home less than 2 years prior). Once work started Lindsey and crew put their heads down and dug and applied membrane within a few days. Kevin and Steve (engineers/framers) we friendly and in and out in a day and kindly answered all my curious questions about the reinforced framed wall. All in all good experience with Abalon. Would recommend or hire again for foundation repairs

I used Abalon to waterproof the wood foundation on my acreage, install weeping tile, as well as install some widow wells. The experience throughout was professional and the process easy. The techs doing the work were great! John and Tom were super friendly and answered any questions I had, I was very happy with the job they did.

We hired Abalon Construction for a foundation leak/repair on our house foundation. Every aspect from the estimator, to the actual work, to the clean-up, was top drawer. The work was done with care, quality, and professionalism. The work crew of James and Isaiah were excellent; answered all our questions and concerns and were always friendly and professional throughout the entire process; from start to finish. HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! From start to finish my experience has been one of the most professional business encounters I have ever had. FERNANDO AND JOSE (technicians) we courteous, polite, clean and knew exactly what they were doing. Brad Harding the project manager and David (office project coordinator) were very helpful during our initial call. Brad came and inspected our 30+ year old sump pit and basin that was failing. Brad took the time with me to explain the process and scope of work and made recommendations for having a 20’ stretch of interior weeping tile installed and graded towards a new sump pit (our decision to move the sump and have a new pit installed as we are finishing the basement and the old one was in a poor location and badly executed). The job was approved and work scheduled (delayed at my own fault as I was removing items from the basement). The team kept following up with me in order to schedule when I was ready for them. The crew with Fernando and Jose showed up on time the date scheduled and we reviewed the cope together. Both gentleman were clean and organized when they arrived on site. They put down drop clothes and panelling to protect our flooring and stairs and basement, all the way to the work site and around the work area. They completed the very labour intensive job and removed all of the debris and refuse from excavation, graded the trench properly, back filled with stone and drainage board / concrete and put in a beautiful new sump pit/basin/ and concrete fill. The finishing work is superior to anything I’ve ever seen in this industry and I have dealt with numerous contractors at different homes, none of which come close to Abalons crews. Pictures posted of before and after of the quality and workmanship we received. I could not be happier. 10000000% hire this company for your concrete or weeping tile / basement waterproofing needs either residential or commercial. Don’t always go with the lowest bidder either. They were a bit more expensive than some others we contacted but the service and final product shows you get what you pay for. Outstanding job guys!!!
