★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked A Star last year and were very pleased with the service; but, this year we had a very stressful experience. As major sponsors for a charity event, we booked A Star to provide face painting and balloon twisting for kids. We confirmed the booking over the phone. When we followed up (thank goodness we did!) 2 days before the event we learned they had not booked it in their calendar and they were delayed in their response to let us know. This left us little time to arrange a Plan B. It was only after several emails from us and persistence to speak with the owner that Angela called us personally. Sadly, the call with Angela only made us feel worst as though we were somehow at fault. Although the talent is great when they do attend, we cannot give this company more than 2 stars. They need to be more reliable and do a better job following through with the booking process. Had our booking problem been handled in a more positive way we would not have felt compelled to cancel their services, which is what we ended up doing.
