About A Proactive Driving School
George has been driving for 33 years. His passion is teaching, educating and instructing. He has been working with A Proactive Driving school since 2019.
George has been teaching a variety of students over the years with us. Teenagers, seniors, new immigrants, people with anxiety, post collision after car accidents. His calm attitude, ability to explain everything in a simple way and to boost confidence in students built his very well-earned reputation in our school and the community. The reviews from his students says it all.
Prior to becoming a Driving Instructor, George has a background as a business owner and has dedicated many years in the hospitality industry. He considers himself very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work, learn, mentor and to be mentored by many people along the way.
In his spare time he enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, traveling and spending time with his wife, 4 children and 2 dogs.

The lady I spoke with on the phone was delightful, making my initial experience there wonderful. Additionally, I took my driving classes with John, who was always on time, had a calm demeanour, was patient, and always gave valuable tips. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will recommend the proactive driving school and John as an instructor to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A proactive driving school is exceptional! The woman who answers the phone and completes the bookings was always so kind and helpful. I never learned her name but she was always a pleasure to speak to. Very professional.
My instructor John was in a class of his own. I had taken lessons before with another driving school and did not have a good experience. I left that experience feeling anxious and defeated. From the moment I got into the car for my first lesson John made me feel comfortable and helped build my confidence every lesson. John gives great and easy to remember instructions that made the learning process amazing. John also has a great calm presence which is ideal for individuals working through driving anxiety.
I officially passed my test so our time together has come to an end. I will miss my driving time with John because he is a wonderful person and A+ instructor but I am just so grateful that he was my instructor.
I will recommend this school to anyone who needs lessons! Thank you for the phenomenal experience.

I had very little experience with driving before and was often nervous, but now I feel so much more confident. I had George as my instructor and he did a great job making me feel comfortable behind the wheel. He was patient and calm and anything that I struggled with, we would work on that and perfect it. I took the 10 hour insurance reduction course, it didn't only help me pass my road test, but also made me build skills that I will be using for everyday driving. Will for sure be recommending this driving school to my friends! :)

I had no driving experience before I attended this school whatsoever. Both did a fantastic job at teaching me how to be a good driver. Lastly, a few days ago took a brush-up lesson for the advanced road test with John. Passed all my tests on the 1st try! Thanks, John and George for your knowledge and professionalism. Highly recommend!

He is a kind and patient instructor that will help you in every way possible for you to succeed at driving. Always had helpful tips and techniques which helped me boost my confidence for my road test coming up (I passed and did great on it). I highly recommend this driving school and instructor!

The lady who helped me get all my appointments sorted was absolutely lovely (and patient).
I had the immense privilege of taking a brush up lesson with John, and I have no words to describe how wonderful he was. The biggest thing was his calm nature. He made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel and was so generous with his tips and advise. I already have him lined up to support the rest of my family when the time comes.
