β β β β β Pretty sketchy place. Bill was given as the picture attached. Handwritten on a piece of paper. Asked the server if we can have a printed bill to look over the price. Server gave us an attitude for asking for an actual printed bill. Even after payment, never said thank you or goodbye, just turned and walked away with an attitude. Also, store doesnβt have a sign or some kind of notice stated anywhere about extra charge for leftover food/penalty. Itβs legal to charge penalty price if itβs posted somewhere in the store. This store does not have any notice of penalty charge stated anywhere and the server tried charging us $4. Told the server that the statement is not posted anywhere in the store and does not acknowledge the customers for penalty. Server just told us that they do it everywhere at all ayce restaurants. Umm not reallyβ¦ not all restaurants do it and even if they do, they usually post it somewhere in the store or on the corner of their menu. She reduced it down to $2 for the penalty lol which means they donβt actually have a set penalty price. Never going back.

β β β β β I tried the lunch buffet. The salmon and shrimp sushi were really good. Appetizers were also nice. I was not a fan of the pad thai. Service was amazing. Clean and neat place with good ambience and tab self service. I recommend this place as it was the first time I tried sushi and I feel in love. I tried sushi from another place but I prefer this anytime. Will visit again soon.

β β β β β We got a reservation on short notice. We ordered the 99 special and the Waterloo rolls and I was rhroohghly happy.
I couldn't recall the name of a sweet sauce I enjoyed, and our server "Snow"(she was a very sweet, warm, and sincere young waitress) came to our table 3 times to figure out what sauce we were looking for and she gave us 3 different ones to sample and we finally found the one we liked. We never even asked her to do that but she and the staff there cared so much about our experience.
They were extremely patient and accommodating. They welcome you right into the restaurant.
Pros:
Excellent service
Excellent rolls and flavour
Served fresh (crunchy and crisp vegetable)
Very good Miso
Very good dine in atmosphere
Cons:
The paper towel roll in the men's room washroom to dry your hands was difficult to use, it's old fashioned and would tear prematurely and you have to struggle to get more paper towel out.
Overall rating is easily 5 stars.

β β β β β Very disappointing. Maybe it was a day off or something else was up but rice was overcooked, chicken was bland and sushi was very subpar. Had very high expectations given the reviews. Value for money was also not great since they discarded the lunch special.

THEY CHARGE YOU 15% GRATUITY WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
Absolutely disappointed with this restaurant as itβs my favourite sushi place close to home. This is my 3rd visit, but 1st lunch visit. The food was absolutely amazing as usual. However, the service and βpoliciesβ are trash.
So apparently if you opt for the 10% off lunch promo, they auto-grat their customers because as per one of the servers, βwhen we donβt charge with tax, MANY customers donβt leave tip.β Being an advocate for servers in the food industry, hearing this was completely disheartening! I am well aware of the many issues caused by the pandamic, and I personally wouldnβt dine out if I couldnβt afford to tip.
I always double check my bills to ensure I am tipping properly, but numbers didnβt make sense. What has me most upset is that the server had the audacity to bring me a handwritten bill, did not mention gratuity being added without my knowledge, and was very quick to hand me the debit/credit machine to pay before I even looked at my billβ¦
There was no manager on the floor to take care of the issue and i just donβt have the heart to leave without tipping. However, Iβm definitely looking into this matter and will take legal action if necessary. Handwritten bills and billing gratuity without consent is super sketchy to me. This business has lost my respect and me as a customer.

I'm only taking 1 star off because I was not impressed with their beef and pork dishes but the sushi and maki rolls were chef's kiss!!! ???
