About 7Eighty Automotive

7Eighty Automotive has been family run since day one by four brothers who set out to change the game in the automotive service industry. As the company grew so did each of us as individuals thus allowing us to eventually branch off opening and running our own locations.

At the West & South we not only offer complete auto service & repair but we also are Edmonton's JDM specialists with full access to parts and service manuals.

Here at 7Eighty Automotive West & South our goal is not only to provide you with the services that you need but to also be a company that you can trust when the time comes that you need to visit us again.

Great experience with 7eighty west! Recommended to go there through my importer Brian and couldn't be happier! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, I felt very comfortable and confident they could get the job done!

I called the owner and scheduled vehicle inspection for 2 vehicles, Hyundai Santa Fe and Lexus. Both vehicles are serviced at the respective dealerships. I was under impression the service will be quick, however it seems the vehicles were failed on inspection. I was asked to replace the rear break pads on the Hyundai Santa Fe because they were less than 2 mm. When they replaced them, we’ve measured the thickness of the break pads and it turned out to be 5 mm. I find very unprofessional the registered auto shop to provide deceiving information. It also seems that it has to be ceramic pads vs. my semi metallic? The other vehicle, Lexus, has around 127000km and the rotors and break pads were already replaced at Lexus dealership at around 100000 km, however the rotors and the break pads were not good enough? I am not sure how is that possible since the car was recently serviced at Lexus. We’ll go back to Lexus the next week and get the report. I have enough evidence to report the 7Eighty Automotive West to the provincial bodies regulating the customer’s protection. As a customer I am very disappointed in this shop.

Great and knowledgeable staff! Jimmy in particular knew exactly what he was doing and communicated it well during the maintenance check. I've definitely become a life long customer.

I don’t recommend this place. We went with my mother around 2 weeks ago with 2 vehicles for inspection and we couldn’t pass for both. I took my vehicle somewhere else and there was no issue with passing the inspection. I don’t believe I needed any repairs since I’ve serviced my vehicle at Lexus and neither does the other vehicle. The employee Jimmy had replaced the rear break pads on the other vehicle and when we asked to get the old ones back, he showed us the measurements on digital brake disk ruler in inches even though the thickness of the break pads was 5mm. The owner was supposed to refund some of the funds but he didn’t. Unfortunately it’s easy to create a google account for reviews but not so easy to get a fair treatment. Stay away from this place unless you want to pay for unnecessary repairs.

Jimmy and the rest of the team did an incredible job of getting my car back to running condition. The process was efficient, thorough, and done with honesty, which was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend 7Eighty to anybody needing work done to their vehicle!

My personal experience with 7Eighty Auto was absolutely impeccable! This was my first time ever bringing a car to their West End location. The mechanics that work there don't try to put car related issues into unique mechanic terminology that the average person (like myself) may not understand! They strive to explain things fully to the customer upfront and make sure that you know what is going on during the whole process of them working on your vehicle. If you don't understand something that was said they explain things in a different way so you know why the job will take "X" amount of hours to complete and why those parts need to be changed etc. For me, I have had my fair share of bad experiences with automotive shops so, It's very refreshing to know that there is still genuine automotive shops out there not trying to blindfold their customer while work is being finished on your vehicle.

Mark is the best mechanic in Edmonton. While all other shops were busy or even had 1 week wait times (it’s early January), Mark got me in the day of and finished my job by the end of the day. Ultra convenient for the working professional, with a key drop for drop off and pick up. Super reasonable price, and super efficient to deal with. We communicated all through text since I had a busy day at the office. Definitely coming back.
