There is only one man working, working hard, but when the lineup goes out the door and even getting addressed at the counter takes 20 minutes, you should hire more staff or rethink your setup. Pizza seems pricey, but other items are fair. Beautiful dining room and nice patio out back. The food was pretty good. The pizza was nice and fresh and I would definitely recommend it!

***PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES*** BEWARE these guys don't take allergies seriously and when asked about it, they get defensive. We went to eat as a party of 4, when we were ordering, I specified that I had a dairy allergy and didn't want ranch and cheese on the sandwich. When the sandwich showed up, it was covered with cheese. When I went to ask the front of the house about it. She said well do you want me to put the 2 bottoms of the bun to make a sandwich? I said, how can you guarantee that it's cheese free and she resorted to saying well I can refund your money. So they expected me to wait and watch my family eat and I go hungry, instead of letting us know what the options were BEFORE we paid. And to top it off... there was no apology. Very poor customer service.

Nice restaurant - it's counter service, not table service (ie, you go to the counter to order and pay for your meal) but they do bring your meal to your table. Fairly large outdoor patio. We had pizza, which was made fresh so it took a little while, but it was pretty good. Friends had paninis which they said were really good.

Spent hours here during a recent stay. Not only was there almost nothing else in town, but the service was geriatric. The food was all okay once you accept it's basically pub food in what seems an exaggeration to call a village, and let's be honest, there isn't much else to do in town. The pizzas are exceedingly cheesy. We were told the establishment had run out of corn chips the night we ordered nachos. I hope this happens to you as we were offered nachos with zesty cheese Doritos - a culinary Eureka moment. The pastries are good, and they sell gas.

Awesome cafe selling locally made food including the best pizza in Southern Alberta! Dine in and take out options available for all food. Local beers on tap. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Local watering hole for campers & cottagers in the Cypress Hills/Elk Water area. Decent experience, they serve beer from the Medicine Hat Brewing Company. Food was basic (no frills) but there’s a large selection of tea and coffee options available. Service was slow. Atmosphere was very pleasant.

We went for dinner and then came back for breakfast the next morning. The maple latte and bacon breakfast sandwich was delicious! Also the House pizza was great too, so cheesy. Definitely recommend stopping in, if you’re in Elkwater!
