Approximately 35 minutes southeast of Medicine Hat, Alberta, the Cypress Hills are a year-round recreational area, consisting of a golf course, a marina and 6 pristine lakes, all within 20 minutes of the Elkwater townsite. The region boasts great fly-fishing, skiing and hiking.

S	Sawyer Swan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfy rooms. I can tell they renovated the outside of the buildings recently, looks great. The room is a little dated but it didn't draw away from the experience. Overall satisfied with the room especially when we chose a winter vacation and the room was great to come back to after a day out in the cold. We had a jetted tub and fireplace, it was lovely.
D	Dave Kwasnitza on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent room, we enjoyed our stay. The restaurant was a little different. Meaning they weren't busy, and they were holding tables outside for reservations. We ate inside, while the patio was basically empty. Food was ok.

I wasn't able to get out often because of the weather and of course because of our current situation but when I did I could not get over how beautiful and serene the location was. I am definitely going back.

We rented a condo deluxe queen room with a sofa bed, the room was spacious and had a separate large living room. Room was very clean when we took possession. Only downside the room was in a semi basement, just one window in the whole suit, felt dark at times. Room well furnished. Bed was moderately comfortable.

Great staff, clean and even a view of the lake from our room. easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants, though there is one on site. Expect B&Bs it is the only hotel in town, and a nice one at that. Highly recommend.
D	Dustin S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone needs to experience at least one night here. Hotel staff very friendly. Jacuzzi room was definitely worth it! Double shower head was amazing. Unfortunately the room smelled terrible upon arrival but got past that very quick. Also make sure your awake early because they start mowing the lawn first thing in the morning.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we arrived quite late the first night but they had our passes waiting for us at the front so we were able to get into our room and settled with little to no effort. Also, we found the bed to be very comfortable. We sure slept well. Thank you….

The staff was consumed with the needs of the convention but still was able to make us feel special, and meet all our needs. Besides being a clean and comfortable resort, the staff made the extra effort needed to make our stay memorable. We are already planning our next trip back.
