Recent research has been leaning towards identifying areas in which bilingual children excel and the tests are conclusive. Therefore, there will be an emphasis at the Academy. The results of these studies demonstrate that childhood bilingualism is a significant experience that has the power to influence the course and efficiency of children’s development. There is an abundance of anecdotal evidence -if not clinical evidence- to support the idea that children learn second languages more quickly than adults or even older students.
Sign language at the Academy is designed for kids, especially preschool and elementary ages, and is a playful, challenging, language-rich, activity that uses a variety of learning styles. Signing is not only used to strengthen vocabulary, improve vocabulary, and support reading readiness, but using sign language will also provide learning through a fun bonding activity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are full don’t waste parent’s time to come there for a tour and pay money to be on a waitlist. The whole daycare system in this country is a joke!
I called in prior to going in to ask if they specifically had a spot for my child. The age was disclosed by phone and confirmed a spot was available, unless they had something against me there is no reason for them to say to me (in person) that they don’t have a space when I arrived there. This daycare will pick and choose who they let in and if they don’t like you they will tell you there is a waitlist. Do parents a favour, tell them upfront that you don’t have space. Some of us have stuff to do. I’m not sure if it is racism or a lack of professionalism but I wasted a good 20-30 minutes that could have been saved otherwise.

Immediately had the vibe of a for profit not for kids place. If you go here wish you all the best. But probably won't take you long either to get a similar vibe.

If you want a daycare that fosters intellectual growth and promotes independence for the older children to be leaders, this is the place to go. Everyday my son comes home with something new that he learned in school. Highly recommend.

The classrooms and outdoor area are clean and modern, and we’re excited about the Montessori program. The food schedule also looked great, well balanced and healthy. The teachers and all staff were friendly. This is the first time we’re sending our son to day care so we had many questions, that we’re all answered with patience, reassurance and care. We’re excited for our son to get started this week!
