★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for Sunday brunch, the music was great! Loved the duo. Great venue perfect for and classic Jazz Club. The best eggs Bennie I've had, delicious. Our server was very attentive and professional.
Loved it so much we went back Tuesday evening.
The food was a bit pricey but very tasty. I was disappointed with the music. Expecting a bit more jazz entertainment but really... it was nothing like Sunday and not worth the $10 cover. For the reputation of the Alvin's, I expected better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was out for a girls night out and we were not disappointed, the atmosphere is welcoming; cocktails tasty; a variety of table types.and a choice of set menus with wine pairings or not. Highly recommend the set menu :) Our steaks were prepared perfectly and the presentation eye catching. The excellent service was very appreciated and definitely made our night. You can have the best food but the service has to be equal. The entertainment was engaging and professional. I liked the screens on the column so nobody missed being directly in front of the stage. I asked for a timing reminder as we had preordered a taxi, and the hostess delivered. Overall, Alvin's checks all the boxes and is a gem. Looking forward to returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had Soooo much fun here! It was an outstanding evening and out dinner was excellent. The dinner, music and service was top notch! We had some cocktails too which were absolutely amazing! Loved every minute of the evening! Thanks for a great night, we will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasantly surprised by some delicious food! Nice variety with a 3 course meal at $50, though portions were quite small. Great cocktails. Hope more is added to the menu. Music was rock and a bit too loud, especially up close. Will definitely go back and try to see something acoustic - voice/piano/bass would be perfect for this intimate setting. We had extremely comfortable chairs. Also enjoyed a fantastic night walk around the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful little spot! We went there on a Sunday for brunch and enjoyed an afternoon of jazz. The food was just fantastic and reasonably priced. Everybody enjoyed themselves immensely and thank you to the staff for making it a wonderful day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10/10 we went there on Valentine’s Day for dinner and everything about the evening was fantastic. The service and the food was on point, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the show was memorable too! It is exciting to see such a unique place like this. I would highly recommend this place to everyone around us and to go support them. We need more places like this in Calgary!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was surprised with a beautiful Birthday dinner here. The atmosphere was wonderful, John and his band filled the evening with recognizable songs and memorable melodies. Our server was very attentive and so nice.
The Chicken Cordon Bleu was prepared and presented perfectly , followed by a deep fried ice-cream for dessert. A fabulous evening that will definitely become a" regular spot", in the future. Alvin's is a place that makes you feel welcomed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere. I love the fact that there's live music programmed for the whole week and different times of the day to enjoy it. The food is great and the service is friendly and prompt.
The night we went there it was a bit packed and our reserved table wasn't in the best location to appreciate the music entirely but we still enjoyed it a lot.
Highly recommended for a date night or special occasion. This place is awesome, will definitely return.
