R	Rob Lynas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attempted to have lunch here today. There was maybe 15 patrons total inside and out. We stood in line for 10-15 minutes. Finally the group in front of us were told that they had to.order before being seated. Once they ordered and were walking to their seats the owner who was walking across the restaurant yelled.at everyone " you're all wasting your time, I'm already an hour behind in orders". We promptly all left. Have eaten here in the past and it was mediocre at best but after today's display by the owner - forget it. Drove 10 minutes south on highway 35 and found a restaurant called the Mill Pond. Great food and fast friendly service. Forget Dorset and head south to Carnarvon to the Mill Pond!!!

D	Doug Switzer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give a zero I would. Waited for 5 minutes to get seated on patio, lady (likely owner) just walks by and says "we're full". Maybe cook quit who knows. Would never go back after being treated like that. They weren't full. Lots of tables on patio.
M	Mademoiselle Vanilla on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was 9:30am when we googled ‘open restaurants now’, and it lead us to Zachary’s (after looking for some possible crown land campsites outside Dorset). The restaurant has been around for 42 years, and no wonder it has very homey feeling to it—the decor, rattan furnitures, the 70s music and that superb lake view! I can’t help but feeling nostalgic on what it was like to dine here four decades ago. The menu is simple. My hubs had toast, eggs & bacon + coffee. I had French toast and sausages + tea, the portions were not big and neither small—just perfect! We also ordered a prime rib burger to go, and it was amazing! The gentleman (owner) spends time to converse with the patrons, and the lady (owner) who cooked and served our breakfast was so sweet! It was our first time to come here and will never be the last. We will definitely coming back here in winter time. What made our experience here so special is that both my hubs and I thought that food was cooked and served WITH CARE! Thank you for the hospitality!

We were quickly seated because no one was eating here, at noon on a Wednesday. After waiting 15 minutes for our order to be taken, we proceeded to wait another 40 minutes for our food (again, the restaurant was basically empty except for a few tables). The food was decent, but not worth waiting for as long as we did.
