Yorkville Institute of Plastic Surgery: Dr. Lawrence Tong

I had submental liposuction with Dr. Tong about two weeks ago and I am beyond happy with the entire experience! I have always stored extra fat under my chin although I am a fairly slim person and it is the thing that really bothered me most about my appearance. This was my first cosmetic surgery and I am really glad it was with Dr. Tong. I consulted with a few other surgeons but Dr. Tong was an easy choice for me because he was so informative and I never felt rushed or pressured in any way. I also looked at his before and after photos for this procedure and I was very impressed! The office is super organized with a very quick response time and everyone is so warm and friendly. I was awake and felt very comfortable during the entire procedure. I didn’t feel any fear or anxiety during the procedure and it was over before I knew it! My recovery was super smooth and way easier than I expected. I took it slow but I was up and about the next day and only needed pain medication for the first two days. I had some mild bruising and soreness but it was very tolerable. For comparison, I had 4 rounds of trusculpt on the same area a couple of years ago (at a different practice) and the pain from that was much much worse with no real visible results at all. This experience is a totally different story! The patient coordinator Jean is also just the most lovely person! She called to check up on me during recovery and called me a few times very quickly after I emailed to ask questions. She is super knowledgeable and reassuring which was especially important for me since this was my first procedure. I know that it takes a few weeks to see full results but I am already so happy! I see a big improvement and I am feeling so much more confident with my profile. I haven’t lost any weight but I look slimmer now that the double chin is gone. I am so happy I made this decision and would absolutely recommend Dr. Tong to anyone wanting to go down this path!

Choosing Dr. Tong for my facial surgery is one of the best decisions I've made. I want to give a rating for Dr. Tong and his wonderful staff of >5 stars. I did a lot of research and had many questions before going for my initial consultation. During my consultation all my questions were answered and I was provided expert advice and new information about my needs which informed my final decisions. I never felt rushed or pressured to make my decisions. I am 110% happy with the results of my face and brow lift; I went from looking chronically tired to noticeably but naturally refreshed which is a real confidence boost. Hard to assign a dollar value to that outcome. Right after the surgery, the team checked on me and were available whenever I had any questions. The customer-centered service provided by Dr. Tong, Jean, Katherine and surgical team surpassed my expectations. Consultations and surgery took place during the pandemic and many safety measures were used to keep patients safe. I would and will be a repeat customer.

I had a breast reduction done by Dr. Lawrence Tong. Not only is Dr. Tong a highly professional and excellent surgeon, but his staff is just as amazing. From my very first appointment up until my 6 week checkup, I was treated with respect and kindness at all my visits. Katherine and Jean were so welcoming and always answered any questions and concerns that I had. For someone who was extremely nervous about having surgery, all the staff, including the nurses, made me feel less overwhelmed and at ease. I'm so glad that I chose to get my reduction done at this facility, I'm in love with my results.10/10 would highly recommend Dr. Tong.

I had a non-surgical rhinoplasty done and I’m in love with the results. Dr. Tong made the whole experience very pleasant and relaxing. I was nervous because this was my first cosmetic procedure but I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere here is very welcoming and everyone is very nice and helpful.

I’m in my second month, post-op, surgery. I had my breast implants removed and I replaced it with smaller implants. Because my older implants were much larger, I was scared with smaller implants that my breast would sag therefore I opted to also get a breast lift. I am so pleased with my result. Dr. Tong did a great job! Even my family doctor commented on his great work. Not only did they look much more natural (my previous implants were over the muscle and too large for my body frame), but they are also very pleasing to the eyes. My breast are a perfect shape, size and my areola (nipples) are perfectly balanced. My pain level was 5 out of 10 the first and second day. By the third day, it was 2 out of 10. Painless if you ask me. This surgery went well. Dr. Tong did a great job explaining the procedure and what to expect afterwards. His team of Assistants were great too. They were all kind and made you feel at ease throughout. Thank you to Dr. Tong and team.

I was very pleased with the surgery that Dr. Tong did for me. He was very thorough in explaining options and I’m delighted with the results of my procedure. His office staff and OR team were extremely professional too and I felt very comfortable with their care. The results are superb and I know they will continue to improve during my recovery. I should have had this done decades ago!

After vetting several well known surgeons, I selected Dr Tong to do my extended neck lift and it was the best decision He is extremely patient and reassuring taking the time to address concerns and questions. I opted for the twilight sedation, so no anasteptic which was an added bonus. The pain and swelling for me was minimal to non-existant and within 4 days, I was with clients working again. His staff are always friendly and readily available to answer questions, even replying by email over the Christmas holidays. It was such a great experience, I am thinking of moving forward with Dr Tong to do other procedures. It is without hesitation I recommend him highly!!
