D	Danny Vo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the school today, there was a lock down claiming that there was a fight outside the school in the parking lot, news report that 2 people was stabbed but this doesn't change the fact that the school has very good teachers and staffs teaching us many useful things in the future but recently the students have been lacking starting fights making the public view of YMCI as a dangerous school

K	KIERAN Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only spent one year at Y.M.C.I. grade nine, but it was probably the most enjoyable time I spent in the education system. The facilities were excellent and the extra curicular activities were what ever you wanted them to be. Wish I had the opportunity to go through to grade 13.
o	oh yeah on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This school is bad, last best year was 2017-2018 where it actually had proper students attending. Since then everything about this school went downhill figuratively and literally. Its reputation is soiled and tarnished. Blame the new students for that and even the admin for their lack of care and accepting almost everyone where in the past they had a proper selective process. 2014-2018 was the peak of this school before its timely demise from it's once glory. Pretty sad to see and think about what this school has become. Good thing they're moving to harvey this september and put this school to rest.
J	Jimmy Awesome on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a student here and in the graduating class of 1999. I was in the enriched program as this school promotes a focus on academics. York Memorial had an excellent music program. Mr. Michael Perkins was an outstanding educator and very easily the best teacher I had in any year, grade, subject or school. Memo also had a decent athletics program but I feel much more could have been done parlay its success into an effective boost of school spirit. Its focus on academics comes with a price in the way of very little practical programming. While learning, perhaps even being inspired by, intellectual ideas and concepts what is being missed out on is the opportunity for useful, transferable experience and skills. If you're an average, well-adjusted student from a stable home your time at York Memorial will be positive and you will finish your time there with many happy memories. But I believe and feel that those students who struggled, coping with really any type of prolonged issue or stressor will likely not recall their time at Memo with such fondness. I'm not suggesting that the school was a primary source for those issues but one could certainly feel 'forgotten'.
