What an incredible experience I have had with the Yonge Street Physio team! On July 21st, 2012 I had my first orientation with Amish and Elisa. Though nervous to start working out again and start my weight loss journey, I felt completely safe in the clinic environment. Of course I was concerned about injury, but the physio team was able to listen to my concerns and make appropriate adaptations so that I could continue to be motivated. Marina has been a huge inspiration and has been a great motivator in achieving my weight loss goals. Her ability to adjust programs to fit my needs is what kept returning to the clinic. She has been the best cheerleader and a constant source of support. Her positive outlook every day has lifted me up, during some of my greatest challenges. In August I decided to create some mini-goals to keep me on track to achieving my number one goal of losing weight. These mini goals included signing up for a number of swim competitions. Amish was amazing, taking the time to fit me into his schedule to ensure that he could tape me up, when I injured my shoulder….and then invited me to join his Tough Mudder team. Crazy me, I took him up on the offer. Amish had more faith in my ability to compete at this event than I ever could have had, and it has provided another much needed mini-goal to achieve. I would like to give a special shout out to David Mowat, who has often been my biggest supporter. Taking the time to chat, offering comments of support, being flexible in changing appointments to accommodate my work schedule…all of these things mean so much and continue to motivate me to return as frequently as I can. In addition to working with the physio team, I have also had amazing experiences with Dr. Krstanovic the clinic Naturopathic Doctor and Majid one of the massage therapists working with the clinic. These two have helped to fix me, when my body is feeling it’s 41 years. I can’t forget to mention Jennifer, who I feel like I speak to on a daily basis. She has been amazing to deal with and extraordinarily flexible with my schedule. I am not done my weight loss journey however I am 85lbs lighter and have a strong, healthy new body to show for it. I can say for certain that without this amazing team behind me…truly a second family of support…I would never have made it to where I am today. Thank you Yonge Street Physiotherapy!!!! See you soon!

Similar experience as some others, after the initial consult (which seemed thorough and like they genuinely cared) I was pawned off on the assistant for my second appointment. I even heard others complain of this while I was there one time so it seems like common practice. My physiotherapist was Rohit (seemed like a nice guy, and perhaps he really is, but that's not what I'm there for). During my initial appointment, the physiotherapist performed acupuncture (nice teaser) before handing me off to the assistant the second appointment who CAN'T even do acupuncture. Instantly I was very disappointed and spoke to the actual physiotherapist after my appointment, to which he tells me I'm supposed to specifically book with him (it's my fault this happened apparently). I'm not sure why after having called to specifically book with him in the first place a patient would be expected to know they must mention they want to see the actual physiotherapist they came to see in the first place for following appointments. How can this be personalized if you're playing musical therapists? He apologized and I made sure I booked with him, ok fair enough, I will give this a second chance. Fast forward to my second appointment following that and I was left feeling very unsatisfied once again. I booked 30 minute appointments and I was lucky to have the physiotherapist spend 10 minutes with me before slapping the Dr. Ho style electrodes on me and taking off with another patient. The electrodes session ended and had turned off, no one was anywhere to be found so I had to get up and awkwardly peel them off of my upper back myself only to look at the clock and realize my appointment in total wasn't even 25 minutes. And more than half of that I spent lying there with the electrodes on me. I waited for him to come out of his office (with another patient) and he says you're free to go. I then asked him, do you book people every 10 minutes or something? To which he hesitantly responds, uhh every 15 or 20 maybe. I said this isn't very personalized treatment when you give someone a 30 minute appointment yet book 1-2 other people inside that same time allotment. He told me it wasn't him it was the people at the desk who do the booking (good deflection - not). This right here was the last straw for me as you obviously don't care about your patients at all to be able to do this. Especially when confronted, not even caring to rectify the situation or placing blame for it when you are the physiotherapist, it's not the people making appointments at the front. What if that patient needs more 1 on 1 that session? Or acupuncture? Nope, sorry, he's not going to do what you need .. he's going to do whatever he has time for before because the next client is already sitting there waiting. Unfortunate experience, I refuse to spend $1000 again before realizing I'm not being treated properly. I've learned from my mistakes. Make a checklist when you go into places like these and if they don't meet your criteria, move along.

In my journey to physical and emotional wellness I've come across a lot of people, but the company that stands out most is Yonge Street Physiotherapy. I was sourcing for information about the best acupuncture clinics around and that was how I stumbled on their website. I loved what I saw, and made an appointment with them. The environment was very nice and welcoming, and the staff are highly skilled. My acupuncture session was very relaxing, and it helped a great deal with the health issues I was dealing with. I will gladly recommend this clinic to anyone.

I was living with chronic pain in my shoulder from a car accident years ago and decided to finally do something about it. Amish, my physiotherapist at Yonge Street Physio, was able to make me feel new again after only a few treatments. I still have some pain, but it's manageable now because of the amazing care and treatments I received at this clinic. Friendly staff, state of the art technology and a professional approach is what stood out in my mind about this place. I would highly recommend it...and have!

Yonge Street Physio has provided excellent service through every step of my rehabilitation from ACL surgery. Staff members have been kind and courteous on every visit. Physiotherapist Amish Patel provides a professional and personalized approach when it comes to rehabilitation. He has made sure that my rehab protocol has been followed while ensuring that a gradual progression in strength conditioning is taking place. I've been to other physiotherapy clinics and Yonge Street Physio is definitely my top choice. My progress has been amazing throughout the past few weeks so much so that my Orthopedic Surgeon was surprised at how well I was doing after just one month out from surgery. Thank you Yonge Street Physio for helping me get back on my feet!

I began coming here for physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage therapy after I fell down a flight of stairs and suffered from severe back pain. I haven't been satisfied with my experience at this clinic. First of all, I do have to say the staff are very kind and friendly. During my first assessment I felt like they were really catering to my needs. On the follow up appointments a technician performed my physio instead of the physiotherapist. This is where I was not satisfied. They never really reassessed my back pain after the initial consultation and my back still hurts. I spent over $1000 at this clinic and I didn't see results. They would use the ultrasound machine to reduce inflammation and the electric current machine in each session. The treatment they provided is not the treatment that is going to make my back and hip better. They just came up with a way to get me into their clinic multiple times per week that did nothing for me. They kept telling me to wait to see results. No results ever came. Aside from that, I thought they would give me exercises. After requesting some exercises, I was given ones I could do at home. I am doing these exercises and am seeing minimal results. At my gym my instructors and various personal trainers told me there are ways to make the exercises that they assigned me more difficult. When I asked to make them more challenging, they didn't really provide me with options. I don't know what to do to make my back better. I might consult another physiotherapy clinic. The acupuncture did nothing for me and the massage therapy did not help my back at all. I never felt better after my massages. Since attending this clinic I have seen a new chiropractor and another physiotherapist who is 10 times better than this place. My current physiotherapist works on exercises to fix my muscle imbalances and to prevent future injury. This is the treatment I needed from day 1. It's shocking this clinic didn't do that and I wish I found my current physiotherapist first since I would have preferred to pay her $1000 for a treatment plan that works. I would never go back to Yonge a Street Physiotherapy even if someone paid me to go there. Worst experience of my life. Don't waste your money and go someplace else.
