If you want to feel berrated, belittled and like a piece of meat by their male trainer. This is the place to be. Be weary of their unlabelled equipment, unknown rules and fitness manager who likes to sit in the office and watch the mess around. I have never felt so bullied in my life. Shy, unconfrontational people are constantly repremanded for breaking rules that are not posted. Speak up, and it becomes worse. I used to love this gym, its environment and the way it made me feel. Now. Its the cause of anxiety and it won't be seeing my money or loyalty.

A little on the pricey side, but it does have plenty to offer. Cardio, two pools and a weight-room. Not necessarily the best weight-room in town but you can still get the job done here. Also the only gym with working saunas. Free parking with overflow parking available just up the block at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Great daycare services! My 10 month old daughter loves her educators and makes progress everyday. I also like the fact that they have an app and keep you virtually updated.

Such a great gym. Equipment is clean, always in relative good condition. Staff is friendly, always with a smile. The only thing I would change would be to increase the size of the locker room but I know that space is limited. Would recommend this gym to everyone.

Very disappointed with the YMCA. They came and bought a community meeting place (gym and pool). Called it YMCA West. (It used to be Progress for many years) They sold the property and left the community without a community meeting place. Leaving the community is fine but taking away a community's gathering place is not! The pool was used for lessons for children as well as for fitness for adults and seniors. Closing one location (Y West) and leaving the other location open not fair to members who joined to work out at the West location. We all pay the same dues. We were told the West location was losing money. The former owner ran it cleaner, kept equipment working and listened to his members. I only stayed when the Y bought the gym because I thought the Y supported our communitythe have had much better experiences with the YMCA in other places. Disappointed in this one.

I got a membership here with my tuition from St. Lawrence College, and I have to say its absolutely worth it. They keep cleaning solution and towels everywhere so you can clean properly, there are nice water fountains and a cafe, and its relatively quiet. I'm not the most fit person in the world, but I really felt comfortable here. A friend and I went to work out together, and we had an amazing time too!

Aquatics is a complete mess with incompetent management. It’s a shame, because the pool is reasonably nice and the guards are mostly friendly.. Management should closely examine and refine their aquatics policies and try to raise their standards to at least be somewhat competitive with Queen’s, Artillery Park, and Amherstview. Huge issue with booking policies and unpenalized no shows preventing people from making bookings. Management that doesn’t seem to understand or enforce how a lane swim should operate. These are far better places to join for decent lane swimming. Additionally, basketball facilities are crowded and Covid-19 policies have rendered it nearly Impossible to book time to shoot around.

I like the YMCA, I think it's a good building with good programs. What I take issue with at present is the very restricted hours they are open right now. Makes it much more effort to try and g t a workout in the evening because I have to rush straight from work to even get a full hour on the floor. Similar story on the weekends since they close at 3pm.
