Yen Nails - Waxing & Nail Salon Near Aurora ON

The staff is very friendly and welcoming....Until you are not satisfied with their work or they haven't done a good job. I had bio gel nails put on and they were chipping and falling off my nails within two weeks after getting put on. I have had bio gel nails before, so I know this is not normal and so it was obviously the nail technician that had done a cheap and sloppy job. So I called to inform them and make an appointment. I spoke with Yen herself, whom blamed the problem on me but scheduled the appointment. So when I got to the appointment, the nail technician seemed to think I was scheduled to get a nail fill. Which told me Yen did not put the reason for appointment in their appointment book. I had to explain TWICE what the problem was and why I was there. I was refused a refund but I would not be charged for taking the rest of what was left of my gel nail set off - after I stated I shouldn't have to pay to get them off. The entire time (even when I was "negotiating" with them, I received ZERO eye contact). So, after my frustrating and disappointing experience at Yen Nails, it is easy to not recommend Yen Nails and I will not be going back and I will be spreading this experience with people.

My shellac manicure lasts the longest from here!! All the girls are great but Kim and Yen always do an exceptional job. I've been going here for 6 years now and have never been disappointed. I recommend this place to everyone :)

The beginning of my visit was kinda bad, they sat me down and Nasa had started on my nails, but they mixed up the appointments and they made me go sit in the waiting room while another girl got her nails done for her scheduled appointment, I waited with uncut tips on one hand for close to an hour before I was reseated with Nasa. She was very kind and took her time to do my nails and make sure I was satisfied, she was also super friendly and very meticulous with how my nails looked. Overall its 3 stars instead of the original 1 star because Nasa has amazing customer service skills.

Poor, poor service and horrible nails. My daughter paid good hard earned money (more than other spas) to have a set of nails applied for her semi formal. Within 3 hours the tips were all gummy. By the next morning they were really peeling, so we returned after school to request the colour be changed to one that wouldn’t do this. We were told that she can only have the exact polish re-applied. When I spoke with the lady in charge (who did the original application) I was told that my daughter must be putting her hands in her mouth or intentionally working the shellac off. Words can not describe how poorly they handled this situation. We’ve been having our nails done for many years and never experienced such poor service or application. Needless to say we left and returned to another reputable salon who fixed her nails beautifully.

I love coming to this nail salon because of Rozita! She has such a positive attitude and is always impressing me when she does my nails. She does an amazing job at eyebrow threading and waxing. She is so incredibly friendly and makes all of her clients feel comfortable. I always look forward to coming here, because not only does she do a wonderful job, but she is so incredibly funny and kind. If you plan on coming here definitely book with her, she doesn’t dissapoint. I also like the fact that the salon is always clean and has good staff.

I had an apt on Friday July 17 @ 5pm with Vina. she called me around 4:30 to see if I could come earlier. I arrived @ 4:50pm they took my temperature and signed in. Washed my hands and she started with my fill. I got the bio/solar gel fill which was $55. Which is VERY expensive, I normally go to Glowing Nails in Aurora which they only charge $35 for the same gel application. I wanted to try a different place. The girl I was with (Vina) was very nice but you could tell she was new. She started my application, it took her about 30 mins just to fill my nail with the gel, She put like 7 layers on gel on my nails, they were sooooo thick she has to spend another 20 mins filling and sanding them down. Which I didn't really understand, it would of saved both of us so much time if she didn't put soo much on. seems like a waste of product to me. The shellac application was nice, But I still left with them a little thicker then normal and weren't super even. I ended up leaving @ 6:35pm!! It took her almost 2 hours ( 1 hour and 85 mins to be exact) to fill my nails that I got less then 2 weeks ago so they weren't super grown out and in good condition. I paid $60 with tax + $10 tip at the end which is almost double then most places. Sadly I wont be coming back as I cannot sit for 2 hours to get my nails done when a fill normally takes only 45 mins at the most!! I cant get over how long it took! I also get my nails done every 2 weeks and I'm not sure who can afford $70 twice a month but its not in the budget for me Also I understand she was new but people shouldn't have to sit there for almost 2 hours, one lady did two customers in the time I got my nails done , or if she's new then people should get a price deduction or something, doesn't really seem fair to me that I had to sit there for that longgggg and still had to pay the same? there should be a junior and senior rate? just my opinion if you go to the hairdresser a junior stylist isn't the same price as a senior stylist and I believe nails salons should be the same. if I knew it was going to take that long I would of went somewhere else. The application / price and the wait time is the reason I wont be coming back.

I've been going to several nail salons around Aurora trying to find the right one and I have definitely found it!! Today was my first time at Yen Nails and they did a fantastic job, I am SO in love with how my nails look. They are very busy because they are popular and now I understand why. Such polite staff that take time and do your nails beautifully! I already booked my next appt. once my shellac grows out - so happy I have finally found my nail place!!

The finished product on my shellac mani pedi was good but the experience was not up to my expectations. When I go to a nail spa I expect to relax in a spa like atmosphere. It definitely was not and people working on my hands and feet at the same time was also time expedient for them but not relaxing for me. I will not go back.
