★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needed some sort of container for my move (I have a lot of stuff). We didn’t realize that it was close to closing time when we arrived, but Mercedes was amazing with suggestions and didn’t make me feel rushed to leave.
I didn’t end up getting what I had intentionally gone for but if I do need the services of this company, I will definitely go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spoke to a lady about price matching a rate I have with UPS and she went ballistic on me and said "why would we price match if our rates are the same", first of all Yellowhead Storage is not a reputable name compared to more established businesses such as UPS, CanadaPost, etc. I gave you guys a chance because you are a smaller business, not to be disrespected. You also have this price match policy on your website and I asked you nicely about it and the lady kept questioning it while being extremely condescending about what I saw on the website. I did not need your negative energy on the phone. I understand we are going through a pandemic but please treat people with your kindness. A big ugly 1 star for this incredibly unprofessional business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a year of storage at Yellowhead when moving out of country temporarily. Returned to find that our Sea-can had the lock removed and our storage unit had been picked clean, no video footage available. At one point while we were gone Yellowhead called to let us know that there was no lock on the unit but they put one on for us after confirming that it didn't appear as if anything had been tampered with. Could not recommend this business less. Services offered vs reality are two entirely different things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We moved the entire contents of our lives into a sea-can container for a 14 months here at yellow head storage while we were living abroad. Our emergency contact was notified about 5 months after we packed up our stuff that the lock looked to be broken off but that nothing appeared out of place and that our stuff was fine. They put their own lock back on it and that was the last we had heard of it. Fast forward 9 months, we are home and went to collect basically our entire lives out of storage. We got the key to the new lock and opened up our can and ALL of our stuff was gone. Someone had broken off our lock, stole all our stuff, the company put a new lock on and now we were left with nothing. The office was not helpful as they kept on insisting that we gave someone the gate code to get in. When looking up the history on their computer not a single person had used our gate code before that day. They then informed us that the security footage only goes back 30 days in that facility so there was no way of finding out who had done it. At the end of the day almost all the stuff has been replaced (no help from the guilty party or this facility) but there are momentos and baby pictures and stuff like that gone forever because the company failed to keep a secure facility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ **Update: In order to save face, the company replies on their google review that they have "tried" contacting me and haven't been able to get a hold of me. This is a blatant lie in order to look like they are "doing" something about the issue. Yellowhead Storage did NOT try contacting me in the preceding month.
Worst company to deal with. Incompetent, and fraudulent. Charges your credit card for whatever they like based on how they feel that day. Please use any other company other than them unless you like being taken advantage of and paying for things you never agreed to.
