Yama Vans - Calgary

Pat and team YamaVans are awesome to work with during our build. They were transparent throughout the process from the 3D renderings to the final delivery of our gorgeous "Condo On Wheels". I would definitely recommend YamaVans for your future "Condo On Wheels". Supporting a Canadian company(Alberta), gives us satisfaction and quality of the workmanship is first class.

Have been working with Yama for over a year on my multi-phase Sprinter build. Such an amazing gang to work with. Their knowledge and craftsmanship are top-notch, and just as important, they share the passion for your van build, which is beyond awesome.

My husband and I took Yama Nomad's van (Christopher Wallace) out for a week through Jasper and Banff National Parks and were absolutely blown away by the quality and attention to detail they've put into it. It's truly a tiny home on wheels and by far the prettiest sprinter van conversion we've ever come across. Camping and RV travel will never be the same now that we know just how good van travel can be. If you're thinking about exploring Canada, this is hands down the best way to do it! Christopher Wallace is seriously a home on wheels. And a beautiful home at that!

My husband and I have always wanted to travel to the Yukon. We are avid tent campers, but thought for this bucket list trip we would treat ourselves and rent an RV. We decided to give Yama Nomad a chance, and it was easily the best decision we made! Christopher Wallace (the van) was everything we could have hoped for and more. It was easy to drive and park, and the captains chairs were super comfortable (which was important because we had some days of driving more than 12 hours!). It was also surprisingly fuel efficient for such a large vehicle. The entire van was extremely well planned and built, right down to the last detail, and was very easy to operate and maintain. The actual living space was beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed, hot water, full bathroom, and pretty much anything you could need in the kitchen. The fridge/freezer was large enough for me to bring 2 weeks worth of perishables, which meant we really only had to purchase milk along the way! With a huge storage space in the back where we could easily fit all of our outdoor gear, nonperishable food, extra clothing, etc with ease, packing up was a breeze. It made what could have been a long slog of a trip into an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Pat and Alex were both great from start to finish. They were just as excited about our trip as we were, and you can tell they are very passionate about their work. Questions were answered promptly, they provided all sort of useful resources for us, and they genuinely strove to ensure we had the best experience possible. You can really tell these two and their company have a bright future! Neither my husband nor I would hesitate to work with Yama Nomad again, and indeed we sincerely hope to get the chance to in the future, and we will highly recommend them to anyone looking for an extraordinary experience.

If you want the best, talk to Yama. We could not be more thrilled with our Yama van. Originally intended as a weekend adventure vehicle built around our mountain bikes, it’s quickly become our second home. Zero issue being out for weeks and months at a time. The Team at Yama is fantastic to work with, I had Yama install the Agile Offroad Stop the Sway Suspension package and its made our travels so much more enjoyable, their team was easy to communicate with and a joy to work with. If you live in Calgary and have a sprinter van you want to convert or do a suspension upgrade you should definitely connect with the Yama Team.

Great team — Alex and Pat. Passionate about their business; it’s a lifestyle for them. They bring critical and different strengths to a complex process. We found their design/build approach to be a productive, thoughtful one: lots of questions, listening, encouragement, good structure, and “guard rails” to ensure that progress happened, but never at the expense of sound aesthetic and engineering decision-making. We are happy with our Yama van and have watched their business grow since taking delivery. As a retired business owner with a few start-ups and early-stage businesses under my belt, I think Alex and Pat have a strong intuitive sense for their business, balanced with discipline and imagination.

Yama is a fantastic conversion company to work with. Yama created a very personal experience from start to finish. We were able to partner with Yama to create and visualize our van conversion. Yama was willing to step outside of the box and take on a challenging build with our long list of desires. I’d like to mention that the care and details shown did not stop when the build was complete an delivered. The after purchase, post build care and attention has been top notch. The level of customer service is nothing less then what you would expect from true customer first focused company. I would go with Yama again without hesitation for any future upgrades, and strongly recommend them as a great partner in your future adventures.
