I have had the privilege of working with Sandra and a number of photoshoots as a HMUA. She is one of the most organized and professional photographers I know. Her work is beautiful and I think her clients get so much more than they expect. Love my family photoshoot in Paris.

Sandra was my teacher in photography school. I found her to always be kind and patient. She has since offered me wise advice in growing my own business. I greatly admire her talent and the gorgeous portraits she creates for her clients. It is obvious Sandra truly cares about her clients and the friendships they form.

Sandra is so amazing ! I’ve worked with Yaletown Photography a couple of times over the past few years on some weddings and her images were perfection so when it was time to host an event of my own, I knew who to call! Yep that’s right it was definitely Sandra! I just got the images back and of course she delivered once again. Cannot thank you enough such an amazing job yet again. Sandra...wow, where do we even begin. Sandra is a complete and utter rockstar. She exemplifies commitment and passion for her craft and her clients. Stylistic considerations aside (that's a matter of personal preference), I would hands down put Sandra's energy and enthusiasm at the top of any list of photographers (I know my fair share of photographers!). From working with us to create the perfect surprise proposal and engagement shoot in Paris (where she literally went so far above and beyond it's insane), to being a dynamo with her second shooter (Winona-who is also totally awesome and the perfect sidekick) on our wedding day - Sandra was a complete joy to work with, and the proof is in our photos - smiles and cheer from first shot to the last. She was super responsive to all our requests, no matter how big or small. She's awesome at bringing together unruly family members and kids for group shots, and her bubbly energy keeps you going through a long day of shooting (crazy stamina and physical strength!). She gives you very direct and specific feedback to make sure you look your best in the photos, while also striking that perfect balance between dramatic editorial quality poses/backdrops and authentic documentary-style capturing of emotions. Her range is incredible, and she's super detail oriented. Her and her second shooter were like ninjas on the day - they were everywhere to capture all the special moments while staying super incognito (we barely saw them unless it was necessary!) We seriously could go on forever raving about our experience with her, but her work speaks for itself - Sandra was by far our favorite wedding vendor to work with and we would recommend her to anyone for their special day. (Bonus: She spoke Cantonese which was PERFECT for corralling the bride's family! They loved her). Thanks Sandra and Winona!

I'm happy to say that our experience with Sandra (for my husband & I) was one of the most memorable, heartfelt and appreciative in my life. My husband is not a fan of taking pictures but realized that this moment would be one cherished and revisited by our families, my children and their children to come. We committed to Sandra with both our engagement photos, as well as our wedding photos. She was extremely detailed and explicit about the process during an anxiety-filled day. Her direction required we trust years of experience and accept her choices to meet expectations. My husband and I wanted candid moments captured where we all were unaware that we were being photographed. We gifted our guest with an opportunity to be in their best dress or suit and have a memorable memento for themselves. So she created a photo-reception area for group, individual or couple photos. Her tactful direction to myself and the wedding parties participating was fantastic. Our goal was to ensure that we captured the day in the most beautiful, memorable and exquisite way possible. Listening to her direction was a must. You and your partner’s needs and desires are always top of mind. They're clearly expressed to guest, friends and family. We were amazed at how smooth the process went, as luck had nothing to do with the instances capture between me and my love looking/feeling our best. We understood what was required and are happy we chose the right photographer on the most important day in our lives. Reflecting upon our experience with Sandra Leung of Yaletown Photography, we have nothing but praises and heartfelt thanks to her for capturing our special day. From the very beginning, Sandra was responsive to emails, easy to communicate with and on our wedding day, her and her team both worked the wedding together so absolutely no moments were missed. She was unobtrusive and took great photos from the background while allowing our guests to enjoy the event uninterrupted. Sandra scouted locations and showed them to us prior to the wedding day to ensure it was in tune with our vision for photos. Her attention to detail and focus on candid moments were very apparent in the final product, the photos taken were simply breathtaking. We recently returned from our honeymoon in Europe and have thought to ourselves on more than one occasion how we really wished Sandra was there with us to capture the adventure and beautiful surroundings. I hired Sandra for an event/semi-editorial shoot and she did a fantastic job. She took a wide variety of kinds of photos, giving the publication a lot of strong options. I was not on-site, but from the photos she seemed to have a good sense for when to step back and observe and when to step in and discreetly manage subjects for a better image. She was also gracious about handling a slightly convoluted payment process. I would certainly work with her again.
