For my 6-year-old daughter Phoebe and me, Xba is more than a dance studio, it is a big family for us! Nela( the funder) is our close friend! Phoebe has been in Xba from 2 years ago when we just landed in Canada. It was recommended by my friend whose daughter was in Xba. Fortunately, we found the right one! Phoebe has been learning ballet. Miss Skye is patient and caring for children. I still remember how she accompanied the kids in the annual performance of 2019. And she usually waits at the gate because we are late?. Nela is very responsible for the children's dance learning progress. She often accompanied the children in class. From the pandemic, you can meet her nearly every class at the gate! I know she does everything to make everyone safe! Xba has the strictest protocols that have been implemented consistently! We have being updated with so many details since the pandemic by Nela! Xba strictly abides by the provincial health orders and really does the social distance! Of course, the gym is big enough to do that! That’s why my daughter went back to in-person classes from last May when dance studios were allowed to reopen. In the past months, there is no any case related with Xba. My daughter feels safe and happy, and so do I. We will stay with Xba until these bad days go away.

As a dancer who took a few years off after high school, I'm so glad that I chose XBa as the studio where I returned to dance. I love that each class gives me an opportunity to improve my technique and skills, and offers an inclusive and fun environment where I can explore my more creative and performative side. XBa absolutely helped me rediscover my love of dance, and I couldn't be more grateful!

I almost grew up at Xba! I went from ages 11-18 and absolutely loved it (2004-2011) and I’ve also gone back as an adult when my schedule allows. Xba is so much more than a dance studio, and it’s a great one at that. Not only did I learn how to dance and express myself creatively, I also created life long friendships, healthy habits that I hold as an adult and memories that will last me a life time. As a teenager at the time and the struggles that can come with that, Xba was always a safe space for me that filled my cup with happiness and confidence at the end of each class. Words can’t express my love for this studio and the owner Nela and Amadea – they are absolutely amazing and to this day when I see them it’s like I’m saying hi to family. If you’re considering trying their classes or have a child that may be interested I highly recommend going! It’s a warm, inviting and inclusive space that can’t help but feel like a home away from home. To this day I love to dance and I thank Xba for everything it’s carved into my life

This has been my dance studio for 2 years, my sons attend breakdance and I do a dance workout class. I cannot say enough about how much this studio means to my family! We absolutely love attending, the teachers are amazing, the studio is safe and follows all health protocols which makes us feel safe and secure as well. Nela and her team is talented, warm and welcoming! This will be our dance studio of choice for years to come!

I danced at XBa for 11 years and from the moment I stepped inside their doors, I immediately felt at home. XBa gave me so much more than just my dance education. It provided me with a safe space to grow as a person and allowed my creative side to flourish. The teachers there are encouraging, knowledgeable and inclusive. I cannot express how grateful I am to have been able to be a part of the XBa family. I miss this place every day!

My daughter danced with XBa for years. There was a point that I decided it was my turn to give it a try. As a older adult I was a bit nervous taking a adult contemporary dance class. Well that changed quick taking into consideration I stayed dancing for 9 years with XBa and left only because I moved. Great teachers and dance mates! We had so much fun and learned so much! I miss it terribly and suggest anyone take classes ,great way to get that body moving and meet wonderful people. XBa, Nela, you rock!

I joined XBa 3 years ago, and it's something that adds positivity to my week every single time. The curriculum is both fun and grounded in technique. XBa's inclusive environment makes everyone feel comfortable and supported while learning (or less uncomfortable, depending how you see it), regardless of age, dance experience, or abilities. If you're on the fence about joining, DO IT! It's great for mental health, physical exercise, and having a supportive "dance family". And since we're currently in a pandemic, I will add that XBa has been very responsible, and makes sure all safety protocols are met and exceeded, and all dancers feel safe to continue training.

XBa Dance truly is for every Body! As an adult stepping back into dance after so many years away from a structured class, I was instantly immersed in the movement, the music, and the fun! All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged by the awesome instructors at this studio. After 15+ years dancing at XBa, I still look forward every week to coming to "My Happy Place" for a great workout with old and new friends alike.
