X-Copper

If I could give no stars I would. I felt battered and abused after my dealings with x copper. I can not speak to the whole company, just the 3 people I had the misfortune of dealing with. I had a horrible experience at x copper. I did complain to the law society but it was my word against theirs. Nathan Co called me after months of having my case information and told me he was accepting a plea deal on my behalf in 5 days but he was unfamiliar with the plea and told me to go and do my research to figure it out. I asked if Mr Co could forward me the disclosure information and he said he was not allowed (untrue). I offered to pick up the information - he said covid made that impossible. I subsequently called the prosecutor to see what accepting the plea would mean and he read me the full disclosure on the phone. At that point things went south very quickly. I was then faced with Jenna Little who was rude and belligerent so I tried to speak to the manager Heather Thompson. When I tried explaining the situation she said that the 3 of them all sat side by side in the office and she knew exactly what had transpired and started with name calling again. I realized the discussion was useless and that I was just going to be badgered, so when Heather said that they were dropping me as a client I was fine with that. When I tried to get my disclosure information however court services told me that x copper told them that they would send it off to me. They once again dropped the ball and I was left scrambling. I am unsure at this point if that was intentionally subversive or an accident. I did speak to the owner of the franchise who was extremely helpful and I appreciated that. I agreed to pull my complaint from the law society and move forward. The law society responded by saying they wanted to go forward with their investigation. I am unsure whether or not the same three stooges are managing the business but if so I would run in the opposite direction. The biggest problem with this industry is that you pay upfront for legal representation as per law society rules, so there is no incentive to do more than the bare minimum.

Extremely happy with X Copper services. Mary and Tom are both very professional and know their stuff, definitely recommend their services related to issues with commercial license infractions.

I worked with Chad at the Toronto location and he kept me updated at every step of the process and made sure I understood my options.
