I live at 429 Westwood Drive, and our Building Manager is working non-stop to keep myself, and my neighbours safe from Coronavirus. I don't know if I'm sending this to the correct site, but Thank her for me. I've already done it, repeatedly, but she deserves more than just my thanks. When I was trying to explain a problem with the toilet, I didn't know how to explain it, but came up to check it out. It was fixed, almost, immediately. This is my first apartment, so I didn't know what to comment on. Even with that Heat Wave, the AC is a HUGE relief. The Laundry Room is always clean and the "6 feet Away" policy is enforced by only 2 people in an elevator at a time. (2 Elevators). The Common Room is always clean, but isn't used much right now. Once Coronavirus hit, The Shuttle Bus three times a week for grocery shopping shut down, of course. Again, I appreciate everything. I would, and have, suggested this to friends. Stay Healthy!

Living at 2350 Portage at first was fantastic. Now we're basically paying $1,280 to live in a place that constantly has bedbugs.

worst Management i live at 77 University Crescent No problem has ever been solved in timely manner If we call Wre they are like take this number , call off this number. But nobody solves problem here. They never admit their mistake nor apologize nor fix the issue. Only thing they do is blame on other manager. The old lady at 77 university crescent always has one answer , Well i don’t know , other lady handled it. well don’t you have system to work. Most pathetic management..

Hello, I am writing to you to report the behavior of the apartment manager named James at 666 St James Tower's of Polo Park. I just went downstairs to enquire about the parking spot. The manager said that he doesnot have any and his tone was very rude. To which I responded that when we moved, the then manager informed us that each suite is eligible for atleast 2 parking spots and we had our plans accordingly. I told him that I already bought a car and if he could provide some solution to the problem and if apartment is supposed to give their tenants some notice in advance. As soon as I said this, this manager lashed out at me. I don't think I am supposed to be treated this way. If he cant help, he is atleast not supposed to shout at the other person. Please look into this concern as this is not the first time. Every manager at this apartment has been disgusting and they dont have basic etiquettes to talk to a human being. Also, since the unavailability of parking spot thing was not brought forward when we signed up for the lease, I would need justice in this case. I need to park my car underground or the outside slot. Please look into the concern and reach out to me so we could find a solution to the problem . Thank you

I came on here to share my recent displeasure with the management at 2350 Portage, and it seems that this is a trend! (Hopefully something will actually be done about it) We've recently had our building fall under new management, and it has almost immediately gone from my favorite apartment of all time, to a borderline hostile/constantly unwelcoming environment. Our building is now under a barrage of notices, including on multiple occasions, threats of additional fees, inspections, evictions, and every miserable micro-managey thing this landlord can seem to get her hands on, breaking from a very friendly standard that had been set for years up until this point. Walking to and from my suite on a daily basis has become an exercise in frustration. Simple maintenance such as snow clearing has been neglected since this takeover, to a point where I had gotten my car stuck multiple times trying to get over the mound at the parkade exit, and maintenance requests have flat-out been ignored. I for one, am not renewing my lease this year, soley on this fact, after being a long-term tenant, and I've heard the same from at least two of my neighbours who have been here much longer than I have. It would be nice to see something get done about this, but at this point, I am done with WRE, regardless.

The property I live in is nice. The suite is renovated and the area is nice. Neighbours are great and it feels really homey and safe. But, trying to get ahold of anyone at head office is nearly impossible. Several calls go unanswered, messages aren't returned. On the chance you do get to speak to someone, they give you the runaround and tell you that you need to call a different person and then are sent back to the original person you called. No one ever seems to have a clear answer to any questions and you're always sent to someone else.

I have the unique position of having been both a service provider for WRE for years and also a (current) tenant. Speaking from both sides, the one common complaint I've always had is WRE seems to have a habit of hiring absolutely TERRIBLE caretakers/building managers. The level of disorganization and neglect is comparable to a lot of the slumlords I've had the displeasure of working with. The difference between the two is that with the slumlords the neglect was usually indignation and greed; with WRE it's mostly from complacency and sheer laziness. Despite certain red flags, I chose to live at Park Terrace. The building is in a fairly safe neighbourhood with many amenities close by. It's an old building which comes with its fair share of downsides. Noisy/slow elevators, old appliances, subpar heating and cooling (actually despite being advertised with central air, it's basically useless). Despite this, the building is quirky (in a good way) and could potentially be WAY better with some investment in building infrastructure. With all this said and in keeping with the trend - the caretakers have been absolutely awful. The first one was completely absent-minded and had to be borderline pestered to fulfill any service requests. A complete space cadet if you will. The current one has shown nothing but animosity towards many tenants in the building. The building is plastered with some of the most ridiculous notices I've ever seen in an apartment. And they are EVERYWHERE. Obviously nobody at WRE has ever heard of a bulletin board. I'm not sure if the intention is to start getting rid of the lifers in the building so they can start doing renos to jack up the rent, or if the caretaker is a sadist. My guess is she's never done this job before and is being coached to be god-awful at her job. In either case - it's working. I, and many others, will certainly not be renewing our lease this year. Bravo. Edit: "We will be investigating further." Lip service. Prove it.

My neighbours are newcomers to Canada and they have been forced to live in this mould-infested apartment for months - WITH A BABY! The baby has been sick for months, yet they're not fixing it! As newcomers to Canada, they're living with a fixed income - ONE income & they can't afford to fight back or move! We have also had a recent bed bug outbreak the the company kept quiet and only sprayed unit. They decided to 'wait and see' if the other units were infected in order to save money. This is wrong on so many levels! I believe that if they weren't newcomers to Canada, they wouldn't be treated like they have no rights. In addition that THAT - myself and several other neighbours are experiencing mould infestations, and I have been trying for almost TWO YEARS, to get it taken care of. 739 Kimberly Avenue. Avoid this building if y#ou're looking for a decent place to live! AND! To add insult to injury - they've issued an urgent notice (yesterday) that they need to change all our keys. I don't understand how changing locks is more important than their tenant's well-being! And if you weren't already thoroughly disgusted, they've been keeping a bedbug outbreak from us!!!! #SlumLord
