Didn't got even a single job interview in 6 months. People are polite and friendly but that doesn't solves the purpose.

All employment counselors at Northeast location are great, down to earth people. They offer workshops and resource room with computers for job search. MOSAIC Enclish centre is locared on the 2nd floor.

One of the best Workbc centers I've been to. The staff there I find are very experienced/empathetic in helping both newcomers and Canadians. Even if you are employed part-time/underemployed/or looking for new work opportunities, they will help.

I came to this particular WorkBC office after being unemployed for close to a year. Friends told me that places like this can give you the resources to help you find a job. There are two aspects to me experience, one positive, the other negative and by my score, you can tell which made the bigger impact. If you’re looking for resources, such as resume building and interview practice, this is an invaluable service. My two-week workshop had its fair share of new immigrants and I am certain it benefited them. But when it actually came to helping me find work or to get further education to help me land a job, my experience with this office was a major problem. The province offers grants for people to get funds to pay for more schooling but this process takes a few months to go through. I went through this process. I did the required research, I applied to number of jobs, contacted companies for information, etc… I even got accepted to the school I felt where I could gain the necessary education to get me back on my feet. I did my part, but WorkBC didn’t do theirs. I gave the necessary receipts but this office kept dodging my emails and claiming my receipts were not correct. I even hand-delivered the necessary proof of payment back in September, they contacted my school (which the school responded back), but I never got the grants I should have received. What made matters worse is that my caseworker never gave any sign that I actually mattered. He asked me to send bi-weekly reports of the companies I applied to. I am certain he never once followed back with those companies to find out why I didn’t get the job. I interviewed for jobs but unfortunately never got offered a job. You’d think your case worker would follow-up to find out what went wrong. For something connected with the government, wouldn’t they want me working than β€˜milking the province’? If you’re new to Canada, I would recommend going to WorkBC to get an understanding of what is required to get a job here. If you’re looking to get extra knowledge/education, just do it on your own.
