★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can’t say enough good things about this karate studio. After years of not being able to stick to other workout routines and classes, I discovered Woodbine Karate Club. It’s very welcoming to all ages and abilities. I was nervous as an adult with no experience, but I felt like I instantly fit in, even with the very experienced students. The instructor, Yuri is wonderful! He takes the time to make sure everyone is getting the most out of the class and makes sure we all stay safe and have fun. It’s always exciting and never boring because no two classes are exactly the same. He’s always switching it up. The classes are so enjoyable that you don’t realize what an intense workout it is until you feel the results later. The spiritual side and the discipline is what makes karate stand out from other workouts and sports. Sensei Yuri has perfected the balance of this in every class. As a bonus, there is always lots of parking and there’s an awesome juice bar on the way out so you can grab a protein shake or bubble tea after class.
