β β β β β Great little thrift shop! I was searching for something for a project, came in to look around and was pleasantly surprised. I needed some cheap fabric for a project, found exactly what I needed for a reasonable price.
This location has a lot of women's clothing and footwear - and books for only $0.50! If I had more time today I would have tried on a few things and probably would have left with more. (I'll have to come back!)

β β β β β Small shop, parking is limited, as it's right on the main drag of Bowness. Good selection of clothing, but like any thrift shop it's always a hit or miss anywhere you go. Only 2 fitting rooms were open. Unfortunately, the staff was unfriendly, very judging towards my husband and son, and they gave me a hard time over not knowing about their policy ahead of time when bringing in a referral. They were very friendly towards regulars, but unfortunately did not feel the customer service that everyone should feel when you go to ANY store. I've looked at previous reviews from other customers as I felt like this was so personal, sadly it seems a few folks have experienced the lack of customer service as well. Very unfortunate.

β β β β β I've never been treated so poorly before in a store like I was today. This lady rolled her eyes the minute I came in like I was a problem from the start. To only be followed down every aisle i went down.. I felt as she was treating me I was going to steal something. She made me very uncomfortable and unwanted in this store. So when I went up to pay for my two items I was getting it came to 14$, I gave her a 20 and asked if I could get 2 toonies and a loonies cause I needed to take the bus home. She then told me she isn't allowed to give change and I asked her why not she then told me because then they have to go to the bank.. anyways at the end of being treated like my money was garbage and they didn't wantvyΒ³33Β³33Β³33333Β³33333333333Β³3333Ε3Β³Β³ΒΎ44β΄β

β β β β β I am moving and had a lot of items left over from a garage sale. Wanting to donate, I had a lot of options but I wanted to support WINS. I visited their website and saw they were offering pickup services (outsourced) WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW was the company Junk Removal would charge until they called). He originally quoted $105 (for my items and my neighbours) and we were going to split the cost. When he arrived, he bumped it up to $120 and couldn't take all of it so we each had to pay $120.
To me, this negates the donation, a pick up service making a huge profit for donated items (and not offering a tax receipt).
My items were of good quality and were thrown into the back of a dump truck with drywall pieces, wood and debris. Certainly please donate but DO NOT use the company who picks up. Drive over and give them your goods, do not use the pick up service.
How do I even know they were delivered to WINS at all? I bet they went to the dump and they pocketed the money. Really disappointed.

β β β β β Quite a variety of item, always being added to. In the heart of Bowness on Mainstreet. No furniture, however just about everything else. Staff very friendly and helpful.

β β β β β The prices are fantastic, even name brands like Lululemon are priced lower than most other thrift stores. Their monthly 25% off furniture, 50% off everything else sale first Wednesday of the month is amazing and always worth the trip. But the best thing about WINS is what they do for the community!
