My family used to work for them. 30 years my mom slaved to get them well off she had nothing working for them only struggles. They treated us terrible used us for our family pattern. Omg!! ? They sell pretty much everything you could possibly need for all your indigenous creative needs! I live in a big city in Ontario sadly, so it's quite difficult to find certain items I require for various projects. For example, I'm currently working on some art for a charity fundraiser, and I can not find porcupine quills, conches, light pale pink leather, particular coloured beads (transparent, pearlescent, metallic, specific to sizes and shapes, etc.), handmade unique charms and pendants, rare books...I can go on and on!! ? I'm beyond ecstatic that I took a chance and made my 1st order (and a fairly large one at that lol). Although I had to wait extra time for my package to be shipped out (due to the Winnipeg Trading Post having to wait on several items I ordered to be restocked), when I called to inquire about why my order was in limbo, the very busy sounding yet kind staff member who answered the phone was patient, polite and helpful. The ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish I would have been notified about the shipping delay. I tried emailing them twice about my order status, but didn't receive any response. I do have to say though, that people who are leaving nasty and harsh reviews on here, saying such things like the staff is rude and unknowledgeable, just isn't true in my opinion and experience! Customers need to be kind and respectful, and keep in mind that this is a smaller (BUT popular), family-ran business that is NOT staffed like a Best Buy or a Wal-Mart!! The have employees who work in specific departments/areas of expertise, and not everyone works at the same pace! I'd like to see a complainer repair their own moccasins professionally in an hour!! We are all humans, not supermen/superwomen!! ?

The best place in the city to buy beading supplies!! The staff are super friendly and helpful and the prices are amazing for the quality and amount you get!! Definitely recommend supporting this local business!!

This is an amazing craft. Everything you could possibly need to make Indigenous art... beads... feather...leather.. everything. A nice selection of all ready made crafts as well. And as for the beads.... I have never seen so many beads in my life. So many colours... so many sizes.. Mainstream box stores don't even have a tenth of what WTP has. Friendly and helpful staff. And on a major bus route. Bus right in front of their shop brings you right downtown in minutes Best. Bead store. EVER
