Brought in a 5 week kitten I rescued from a tree that my brother chose to adopt. The kitten's passed away and we were concerned our kitten would have a generic disease. We brought in the kitten, waited 2 hours but it was worth the wait! They did 2 diagnosis for free because our kitten was so small. They also gave us all the info we needed for care, answered every question clearly, and brought our kitten back into great shape! They also had the food we needed to help the kitten grow quick! 10/10 would recommend! Very sweet staff.

We brought our dog in last Thursday because he was experiencing a sudden onset of some concerning symptoms. We called in advance, and arrived at 6:44pm. We brought him in and were asked to wait in our car for a phone call. 2 hours passed and we couldn't wait anymore. When we finally spoke to someone, they said that they had a few critical cases, and the vet was only examining him then. The vet got on the phone and said he didn't think it would be worth trying to do any testing at that point. I am furious that nothing was done for him when we arrived. I wish I would have taken him somewhere else.

I brought my dog in on a Saturday evening after as he became significantly ill and was not acting like himself (vomiting and refusing to eat among other symptoms) and my regular vet being closed for the weekend. A week prior to this my dog had a routine procedure (at my regular vet) for an issue with his knee. An hour or two after dropping him off he was seen by Dr. Scammell who told me that his symptoms were simply due to post surgery pain and that I just needed to rest him and prescribed me some painkillers. I was a little skeptical but trusted his diagnosis since he's the professional. The following day my dog was slightly more calm (due to the pain meds) but was still not eating and was extremely lethargic (among other symptoms). I monitored his symptoms for 24 hours and decided to bring him back Monday as I knew it had to be something serious. This time my dog was seen by Dr. Camara. She did X-rays and a few tests and informed me that the prognosis was not good and listed a number of possible diagnoses all of which were severe and life threatening. I made the tough decision to put my dog down. Dr. Camara was respectful, kind, and took the time to thoroughly examine my dog and explain the situation to me. If I could rate my second visit I would give it 5/5 for service/care even though my dog had to be euthanized. However, the fact that Dr. Scammell completely misdiagnosed my dog and he had to suffer another 1.5 - 2 days cannot be overlooked. If I could rate his service/care separately I would give it a 1/5 because he clearly didn't take the time to examine my dog properly. I understand this is an emergency hospital, and is likely a fast paced, high stress environment. However, the veterinarians and support staff are trained professionals and have an obligation to provide the best care for each animal. Misdiagnosing an animal with severe health problems is completely unacceptable and the only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of less is due to Dr. Camara her supporting staff on my second visit.

Worst Vet clinic I have been to, overpriced and bad service. My dog was there literally for 15mins, that apparently included a full examination and cleaning of a wound - the cost was $350. I would give them 0 stars if that was an option.

Last evening we said goodbye to Zorro, our 19 year old cat. We are grateful for the kindness and compassion of Dr. Cavanaugh and her staff. We and our old friend were treated with gentleness and the best of care.

I brought my cat in last night after she fell down our stairs. We though she may have broken her back left leg. Pembina was busy, as a bunch of us got there all at once. We had to wait about an hour before even getting a call from the vet about what’s going on with her. He did apologize and I do understand they were busy. I was told based on exam only that it was just a sprain. They gave her an anti inflammatory shot, and some meds to take home. I was told β€œshe is putting pressure on it, so she’s fine”. Well, last night and this morning, she’s limping/barely walking on it. I called bridgewater for a second opinion and maybe some advice because I got none from pembina. They asked if X-rays were taken. They weren’t. I understand they do the best they can but only doing an exam when there’s clearly a concern, isn’t the service I expected. I was to he is fine, but she does not look or act fine. I will say, the staff that handled her before the main vet were very kind, and the vet himself was kind. Just not very explanatory on how to proceed with even a sprain. if there’s something more than just a sprain wrong, and I’ve already spent money for 0 help other than some pain killers, that’s not quality vet service. I would probably recommend not going to this location unless no other options. And I’d suggest giving bridgewater a chance first out of the two. I’m not exactly happy with my experience.

GO TO BRIDGWATER. To anyone who wants to bring their pet here: read the reviews for "Pembina Veterinary Hospital" on Google. I'm not sure why they're separated, but there are 200+ reviews there that give a much better picture on why this place is a nightmare. Here's an example from when our dog was there: They called us in from out of town to say that our hospitalised dog was actively dying and we needed to come NOW to say goodbye. We dropped everything to drive the hour to see her, crying and praying that we'd make it in time. When we got there, she was recovering fine. No indication that she'd recently been much worse. No one clarified why anyone had told us that. They did ask us to take care of an amount owing at that time, so did they call us there under those pretenses? I would not put it past them, and this is MILD compared to many other stories. This kind of "we don't care about your emotions, only your money" is their entire way of dealing with animals and their families. Go to Bridgwater.

We had a sick cat that got worse into the night and early morning on a Saturday. I called around 5:00am and spoke to a staff member, she advise we bring him in asap, we live an hour away so we drove in right away. They took our cat and we waited in the car for a phone call from the vet. He called about 15 min later and told us the diagnoses. We decided to euthanize him, we were let in to the room to be with him when they euthanized him. They were very kind and considerate to us, very professional. I was very impressed with the quick and efficient care from them. We got him cremated and had him home within a week. Thank you so much for your care! <3
